eli, I didn't say 100 fans doing it... I said HUNDREDS... as in plural... I was able to see the fans when the camera had a backed-up view and I saw just about 1/3 to 1/2 of everyone IN SIGHT of the camera throwing things, yelling, and flipping birds at all the Pacer players. I know that not ALL fans are like... I already told you... But if something similar were to happen in Indiana and a Piston player was trying to get away from a Pacer player trying to fight him, I gurantee you that would not happen with the Pacer fans. P.S. I hate the Pistons because Ben Wallace (and the Piston fans and security) were basically the ones that got Ron Artest suspended. Sure it was Ron's fault as well I won't deny that. I would say he is 75% to blame for acting the way that he did. But it is a little known fact around the league that Detroit fans were never under control whether it be against the Pacers or whomever else that came into their building. Where was the security when all this happened? I don't know if this applies to only to Detroit but they just have not controlled their fans prior to what happened that night in Detroit. I really think security should have been really looked at because as far as I saw, it was non existent. If anything the Pistons arena staff should shoulder a whole load of the blame because they didn't do jack. People still throwing popcorn and pop on JO when he was leaving, People coming onto the court when they shouldn't have, people throwing chairs, people throwing cups on beer onto players on the court etc...... I'm not saying this because I don't think Ron Artest should be punished because he should be. If I was commisioner his suspension would be a lot more than one season. But I really think the Pistons organization did a very poor job overall in controlling their fans. Now they realize how bad their fans can be and it is a few punches too late. As a punishment to the Pistons I think David Stern should have banned alcohol for a season at their arena. I'm sure the players would feel safer. :beerchug:

Another reason not to like the Pistons: Chauncy Billup's dirty play took out another Eastern rival's SF -- Richard Jefferson. That's two all-star caliber players' seasons the Pistons are responsible for ending. Given that, the arrogant "swagger" they play with, and their somewhat boring style of play, should anyone be surprised that the Pistons are no longer the darlings of the NBA?
i think its just the fact that most of you dont like the pistons because of last years playoffs. I mean come on, because RJ got hurt against Billups and the pistons, injuries come with the game. So i guess you dont like who ever TJ ford was playing against last year wen his season got ended eh Durvasa?? Pistons 4ever Baby, we aint under the radar no more, im glad we arent the Darlings anymore, a bunch of men that play hard everyday, we grind it out, if you get hurt, im sorry but injuries are part of the game.
