Pre-game and post-game discussion/comments are to be posted here!</div> I was writing one and when I was writing my final thoughts and game prediction my computer froze! Weird huh? I'm surprised what Raptor fans have been saying. I heard one saying we're going to lose by 15. Personaly I think we're going to win by atleast 8 at 90-82. We just have a better squad then them. Despite them getting killed by the Wizards they wont take out any aggression on us. We just have a better matchup than all of them.
I am disgusted with the lack of effort on both sides of the ball. The Knicks defense has been flat-out putrid. We look so unorganized on offense so far, and the defense looks like a bunch of high schoolers trying to play against some real players. This is a disgrace. Lenny, get outta here!
Atleast we're are catching up a bit. I smell a sginature rally from my Knicks. Toronto can't stop one of our runs. Our defense needs to be much better. Keep Steph in for the whole game too Lenny. Toronto always seems to create more of a gap when we take him out. Mohammed so far is doing his thing. All of the Nazr haters have to give him props for his great stetch of games he's been playing as of late. He might earn NBA player of the week or something.

Who should start, Ariza or Thomas? (Didn't think I'd let you off the hook that easy, did you?)

I just thought he sucked is all. Well I noticed we didnt run our pick and roll, which is a staple of our offense, as often as we should have. The defense has been terrible but the Raptors are just having a good night. No other way to say it. That hoop right now looks as wide as the ocean. They just arent missing. The moment I saw that guy who comes off the bench(dont know his name) do a running hook shot(I'm certain he didnt know where the basket was)which bounced off the backboard and in I knew we would be in for a long night. Were taking bad shots. And oh yeah we didnt feed the low post when we should have. I'm yelling at the tv telling them to feed the low post but their not listening to me. TT is still trash. I cant believe this nonsense. Their just not missing!!!
We played misrable basketball. GET LENNY OUT OF HERE!!! One of the things I'm confused by is why with 10+ minutes left will we let Brewer, Baker and the rest of them play. That's still enough time to catch up. We caught up to Indiana with about 4:00 left and made it a good game. Somebody tell me why Brewer played more minutes than Sweetney? Our defense was horrible. We need defense. Every Knick except Nazr and Steph played very badly. I just want to know what can we do to get better defense. A trade but, who can we getwithout giving up a lot of value? Man I really look stupid on the Raptors forum now. To answer your question Knicks Analyst: I want no part of that bum TT! That game was the final straw. Only if we could have gotten Mohammed without giving up Van Horn.

Now you know what I was saying all these weeks!!! CONGRATUALTIONS TO mrj18!!!
You guys defense is appualing, really, something need to be done about that, Marbury and Crawford played horrible defense, and I don't know what to say, that was one of the worst defensive displays I've seen. Also looking at the stats, the team hasn't been doing too well defensively, whats the problem here?

Half of those guys never hit a long jumper in their life, the one game they start hitting them it's against us. But as my friend says, "Sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles". That game was a fluke. It will never happen again. It was obvious the Knicks werent coming back from that hole. Brewer is pretty good for a back up. And I keep saying it and saying it. FEED SWEETNEY!!!! We went away from the pick and roll and Crawford wasnt shooting well. Nowadays because of his poor shot selection we live or die by his jumper. Were not getting any more perimeter defense unless Larry Bird decided to trade us Artest for TT but I dont think that's going to happen. And thank God I had computer problems before the game started. I didnt get a chance to visit that Raptors forum before the Raptors demolished us. I might have been right there with you looking stupid. I didnt have the heart to check out that forum after or during the game. Finally you agree TT must go. It's about time. Quite frankly I'd rather Doleac and Van Horn then these two although Mohammed is playing well. Maybe we could have signed Bo Outlaw or something. I dont know. All I know is Houston is coming back, were winning our division and making it to the Eastern Conference Finals even with TT's laughable play.
You really think so? Check out what a Raptor fan said in the Raptors forum. I don't think you'll agree. I would enjoy a Knick oppion over there. It's on the 3rd page.

Actually that was only Milt, and he hit one jumper, the rest were layups, Carter, Rafer, Bosh, Lammond, MoPete and Bonner can all shoot??
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post"> Also looking at the stats, the team hasn't been doing too well defensively, whats the problem here?</div> I'll answer that question in my next article. That along with why Ariza should start. It'll be out in mid-later December. Be sure to check it out. (It may be long though, maybe 10-20 pages in Word - that's why it's going to be released later. I have to do extra research.)
Hey og15 (a.k.a Penny) Yeah I have always been worried about the New York Knicks defense, this game illustrated exactly why. Though I still think the New York Knicks will win the division, I am so confident that their defense or lack of, will help progress them into the later rounds of the NBA Playoffs. I am sure the new York Knicks will get back at Toronto once both teams step onto the floors of Madison Square Garden.
Well, I can see how many are disappointed but this doesnt come as a shock to me, simply because this is how .500 teams play. One night, or maybe string together a couple good preformances are strung together. And it makes you believe they are a bit better then you first expected. And then they come out flat, & quickly bring you back to reality. I think the Knicks are a very entertaining team this year. But the fact still remains, they are a .500 caliber team. So these type of nights should be expected from time to time. Crawford shot selection looks great when he is making them. But when he is off, he looks like he did night chucking up a bunch of wild shots almost every trip down the floor. The Knicks almost aways have to put together a strong offensive night, because they simply can win with defense. Steph and Crawford are basically two point guards, which means against teams with excellent shooting guards, one of those guys are going to be caught in a mis-match situation every trip down the floor. And with the exception of the Cleveland game against Lebron James, Tim Thomas has not been a factor on the defensive end. The part of the floor where the Knicks really need him to have an impact. So the Knicks breakdown on Defense begans out on the perimeter.

Like the Kings and the old Dallas Mavericks. I have never liked Crawford's shot selection. I complain about it every game. But it'll stop when Houston returns. Alot of problems will be solves when he comes back and the Knicks will get some stability. Like I said were living or dying by Crawford's jumpshot. But that wont be the case with Houston back in the line up. Yes we know TT sucks. Which is why I say Houston should start at the three spot. As soon as the Knicks realize Sweetney is in the low post and start feeding him then everything will get better. I still say the KNicks are better then a .500 team. And they'll prove it. Tonight's game was a fluke. Simple as that.
I'd like to see the analysis on the Knicks defense Knicks Analyst, that will be interesting, but also to H20, yea having an intimidator insdie helps against interior players, but the perimiter defense was atrocious, just plain bad. Also about the game being a fluke, maybe the blowout, but the Raptors beating the Knicks isn't a fluke, we've beat teams with minimal/bad production from Carter, so when he has a good game, were definately going to be in the game or win unless everyone else sucks. Anyways, I expect it to be much closer than that next time, but I was just so surprised the Knicks didn't go to Sweetney. We suck inside defensively, look at how Nazr destroyed, that's some bad decision making by the perimeter plaeyrs to not get Sweetney the ball.

The Knicks will win last night. Everything was going the Rockets way. I actually started laughing. As for the Sweetney thing...I say that every other post. I scream at them to give the ball th Sweetney. He would have raped everyone who tried to stop him. Sweetney is getting lost in the process. We have all these perimeter players running around him not giving him the ball taking all these impossible shots. The blame also lies with Lenny Wilkens. There's a reason why teams hire coaches, its because the players cant coach themselves. But when Houston comes back(and I cant wait) these problems should go away.
Your right H20, the Kings and Old Mavs were very poor on Defense. But they had a much better offensive unit/chemistry then the Knicks do. So thats why they were able to win alot more games then this current Knicks team is...With this Knicks offense and them having just about no pressence on defense in the post or on the perimeter, its hard to see how they will be that far above .500. I have said it from the start of the season. And Iam sticking by it. The good thing for the Knicks is a couple games over .500 should allow them to walk away with the divisional title. By the way I give the Knicks interior Defense more credit then their perimeter. Kurt Thomas despite not being much of a help defender or weak side shot blocker is a heck of an on-ball defender. And Jerome Williams is a good defender at both forward spots as well. Neither, one is great, interior or perimeter, because the Knicks dont have any shot blocking resistence at the hoop. But the Knicks weakest link defensively imo, is clearly out on the perimeter, if I had to chose. Crawford, Steph, & TT giving up alot of penetration begans the breakdown of the Knick's D.
