<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Allen Iverson had 28 points and 10 assists, and Josh Davis moved into the starting lineup and added a career-high 19 points to help the Philadelphia 76ers snap a three-game losing streak with a 110-97 win over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. O'Brien, who coached the Celtics for three years before resigning in January, got his win with Philadelphia against Boston in the season opener three weeks ago. In that game, the Sixers rallied from an 18-point third-quarter deficit. On Wednesday, Davis helped put the game away in the third. Davis, the CBA's most valuable player last season with the Idaho Stampede, hadn't played more than 10 minutes in a game this season but started ahead of veteran Kenny Thomas and logged 26 minutes. Signed as a long-range threat, Davis scored 11 straight Philadelphia points in the third quarter, including consecutive 3s that stretched the lead to 78-61.</div> <div align="center">Link</div> <div align="center">Box-Score</div> What about Josh Davis? He had an exceptional game and judging from what I saw in that game alone, I for one wouldn't mind him sharing some of Skinner minutes. Davis is a versatile player for his size and has a very nice shooting touch. As for Allen Iverson performance, great game but nothing we haven't seen before, but hopefully he'll keep it up. But I wouldn't mind seeing him trimming down the turnover tally. And then there is Kyle Korver, alongside Josh Davis, Kyle Korver also played a good game. His off the ball movement was very impressive. With or without the ball he was very active and trying to make things happen. Also, did anyone witness that spin move after he picked pocketed the ball? Well it was pretty amazing if you missed and then he finished it off with a coast to coast lay-up. Well after this win, the 76er are now 5-6. (Tied for 2nd Place in Atlantic Division) Next up, Washington Wizards.
This was a nice starting 5. If it holds up, it could be the beginning of some nice wins. I think it will. It is too bad that KT is now talking to the media about losing his starting spot. He needs to just "shut up" and work hard to try and get some minutes.
I know he was bad during the games....but to lose to Josh Davis must have happened during practice....KT u just need to practice harder...put more time into shooting....just wish he was like 3" taller....he would be sucha great player
WOW. I didn't watch most of the game but looking at Josh's stats... WOW. Nice night for him. He was in the starting lineup, right?
It is pretty much seeming like with each game this season the Sixers are trying to develope there young talent as much as possible for the future. That is the reason I believed they started Davis. Hopefully it continues we have some luck with players we sign out of the NBA minor leagues like the cba and nbdl.
AW MAN. KT only got 3 minutes? He's gonna be demanding a trade soon, lol. I know he's already barking at O'Brien for not playing him as much but 3 minutes!? Come on, now.

However, with Jim O'Brien is not the biggest on developing young players, but at the same time this team is filled with young players and they are the future of the 76ers so in a way he has no choice but to develop them. But if we had more veterans on this team, I highly doubt Josh Davis would be given this opportunity. Now concerning the issue of O'Brien changing the starting lineup every now and then, I have to say... it's not very healthy. By the end of the first half of the season he should have a definite starting lineup if not, the 76ers could be looking at a 1st round playoff exit. Changing the lineup every now and then is not helping and it's somewhat ruining the team chemistry. If O?Brien needs Allen Iverson to be at his best and be the catalyst of the team, Iverson needs to get used to the players on the court. He can't have Green, Iguodala and Thomas in the starting lineup and the next days have McKie, Korver and Davis in the starting five. If Iverson is going to be effective at the point he needs to know where his teammates are going to be on the court and changing the lineup will just confuse him and just make it difficult for him to run the point. And if he can run the point efficiently, the 76er will be in trouble.
