We are ranked dead first in NBA.com's Power Rankings. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Are they ever going to miss from downtown? In last four wins, they've hit 43-of-92 (.467) 3-pointers. Recent win over Minnesota pushed them to the top.</div> ESPN had us ranked 7th, but that was before the Minny game, right on the back of the horrible Boston loss.
Yeah the Sonics are usually somewhere in the 20's with that power ranking stuff. Good start for them overall but, I think the true test is whether they canfinish the season like this.
If somebody said before the season starting this would happen i would have laughed my head off. This is pretty good but as said before enjoy while it lasts. This will change in the upcoming games
I don't think it'll change soon if the team maintains the aggressiveness and toughness they've shown so far. Things can only change significantly if someone gets injured, but let's hope that won't happen.
What's the status on Allen's injury fellas? He looked like he had sprained his ankle last night. Is he out for a few games or will he be good to go next game? If he misses a few expect the Sonics to lose a few more games. The way they're going, the loss of Allen would really impact the team.
I think Ray will be fine. He only spent a few minutes off the floor, and with a day to recover on Thanksgiving, I would expect him to suit up against New Jersey tomorrow. If he misses, the next two games are at home against New Jersey and Indiana, and Flip will likely be off the injured list.
I'm actually really excited about the prospects of seeing the Sonics making a serious play-off push this year. If Allen stays healthy I think they could really turn some heads. All those three pointers, it's like a barrage of threes, one after the other. That can cause some serious problems for other teams. I'm really liking the direction Seattle is going in, I hope that they can keep it up.
Right now, the Sonics have go to be the biggest surprise of this early NBA season. Howver, what will happen if they have an off night? This is a team that seemingly lives and dies by the jumper and from downtown, and if they're not hitting, they might be in trouble. That's the one thing I don't know about this team. No real inside prescence and loves the jumper too much. That could cause them trouble, but, than again, if they hit their shots, I guess you don't have to worry.
Seattle have already had two really bad shooting nights and still won both games, they aren't the same team as last year. When they shoot bad this year they make up for him by rebounding the ball and playing very good defense.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Moo2K4:</div><div class="quote_post"> Howver, what will happen if they have an off night? </div> how about 4-21 from the three point line and still winning the game? is that bad enough?
Thats all my boy Ray Allen stepping up his game, now who got the better end of the Milwaukee deal? Yes I know biased comment. I know hes not doing it alone, Its Ray, Shard the one-two punch everybody said would be a bust. I think Seattle has a chance to go far in the playoffs but not all the way.

Oh yeah, and all those who are no longer Laker fans now that Shaq is gone. Well hopefully that if the Sonics do fall severly, this nice start will prevent falling out of the playoffs completely.
