Vikings trade up for RB?

I just read an article that said that the Vikings may try to trade up for a RB. The obvious first reaction is that this is pretty stupid since they have 4 quality running backs. But they don't feel as if they can rely on any of the 4...they each have their problems.

I would hate it if they traded up to a #2 or #3 pick to get a RB. They may not have the consistency with any of the single players there, but they do have depth at the position. The Vikings have a lot more need at other areas (WR, CB, Safety, LB, DL, DE).

 

thats what I like to hear....come all the way to #2 and you get Ronnie Brown....and it will only costs you the 7th and 18th pick in the draft....

 

why would they draft a rb when we all ready got 3 rb that can run and etc??? we don't need rb's. viks better just keep the picks

 

They don't want to hold on to three potential starters, yet every potential starter has major issues:

Michael Bennett - Injury Prone
O. Smith - One more drug violation and he is suspended for a year
M. Moore - Only played a few games, some durability questions.

 

I certainly wouldn't trade up...unless it was to get Edwards at WR.

i dont like that trade....thats like trading Surtain for Bennett straight up, thats a horrible deal....#2 for #7 and #18 is about right, the other part is not good....

 

The Vikings need to do something...the Rubes here in Minny are getting mad that we have lost so many potential players.

Getting Surtain would be good.

 

What about Moe Williams he's had a few nice games!

 

Yeah, but he's also been playing since the time when they didn't wear facemasks.

 

I'm just waiting to see what bonehead thing the Vikings do at this year's draft. I'm sure they'll probably trade up to draft a running back and then when it's their turn forget it's their turn and end up drafting 5th....

Its just a rumor I found elsewhere on the internet.

That would be retarded if we trade up because we already have 3 decent runningbacks and we need a WR. I know our D is improving but brian russel aint gonna cut it. I say we trade for DD even tho we got darren sharper and we make Chavous backup to sharper

 

and i cant wait til the draft we have so many options- I say we draft derrick johnson 7th if hes there or antrell rolle. Then we can use the 18th to get Troy Williamson or Michael Clayton. Troy is a very good WR He reminds me of Moss minus the attitude. He has decent size and very fast
