Just heard on sportsnet that Vince got threatened before Wednesday's game by a fan. If this is true i don't blame Vince for wanting to leave Toronto. This is beyond sad

I think people nowadays lost their respect to people. I cant believe that you can threaten another person. I dont care how famous that person is. This is very disrespectfull. Once more the proof that people are loosing their mind.

How can people even say that Vince should expect death threats? You guys are idiots if you think that public figures deserve this kind of shit. Any time a mans life is threatened it is a big deal, you never can tell what can happen outside of the court.

Ask any player in the league and I'm sure most of them at some point have had threats made to them. Heckling can be construed as "threatening" too. Do you think Vince is losing sleep over this? I sure don't because he's probably been there and done that. There are many people in this world that make threats but how many of those will actually carry it out? - not many. It's probably just another idiot out there who has too much time on their hands and doesn't even deserve the attention this story is getting.
Atheltes should take threats seriously and yes, it should bother them. Antawn has been robbed and held at gun point, Paul Pierce has been stabbed multiple times. If Vince got a threat, he should take it seriously and equip himself with some bodyguards.
There's probably many other threats that he got other than this one, and the guy is probably just a dumb person trying to make a joke out of it. plus the vid said that he'd be in the game and he's going to raise hell and make an issue out of it. well i didnt see anyone try to say or even attempt to do anything in the game.

vince didnt do anything, the fan was probably mad with the way vince has been playing(with the exception of the last 2 games), so that guy sent a message saying some threat.
As Vince said himself: it went in one ear and out the other. Professional athletes shouldn't let this kind of thing affect their play or the way they live their lives. The Raptors have involved the police and increased security which is all they can do at this point. The police have already said that they don't consider this threat serious and it is probably some crackpot out there. It's out of Vince's hands right now and precautions have been taken. There is nothing else that can be done.
