    Lineup & Rotation Changes ?

    <font color="Red">Van Gundy:
``I'm not sure right now, in what I'm doing with my rotation, that I'm achieving the best balance that I could be at all times,'' he said. ``It's something we're going to have to give more thought as we go forward.

``I'm giving it a lot of thought,'' Van Gundy said. ``It's not a matter of who your best five are. It's a matter of our rotation and making sure we have a balance on the floor.''</font>

The main change in the rotation has been with Shandon Anderson playing more minutes than Rasual Butler. <font color="Indigo">Van Gundy said that if Anderson is hitting his shots, that there is really no reason to put him on the bench.</font> I like Rasual alot but he seems to be struggling on the defensive end. Rasual is a better offensive player than Anderson, but not better defensively.

Against the Blazers: Rasual played only 9 minutes
    Anderson played 29.

Against the Hawks: Rasual 15 minutes.
    Anderson 29.

<font color="RoyalBlue">Will Anderson be in the Starting Lineup? Should he?

Do you think Rasual's struggles can be corrected with time and practice or is he not strong enough to be a solid defender</font>

Rasual has definetly been struggling. His defense has improved but after his first 3-4 games he's offense has severly struggled.

Shandon Anderson had a great game offensively against Portland but hasn't been able to repeat that same performance. Like SVG said: If Anderson can land his shots there's no point on keeping him in the bench. Until then Butler might be able to provide us with more offense than Anderson.

I'm pretty sure Miami is gonna make a trade for a SF during the regular season like Detroit did with Rasheed Wallace just to fill in that last missing piece.

Any ideas who we can get? We don't have much to offer.

It's kinda hard to come by on a good SF, a lot of the good ones are on lock. The only trade bait we have is Eddie Jones and until he can show consistansy on his offense I don't think he is an attractive option.

One guy that I would like to see and I think we would have a decent shot at is Al Harrington. But then again Atlanta is rebuilding their team around Walker and Harrington so...

Another trade that came up was EJ for SAR which I think would be a good trade for us. We could move R Butler/Anderson down to SG and put SAR at SF. SAR could also play PF when Haslem is on the bench and Rasual/Anderson can move up to SF.

In the end were gonna have to wait for a while to showcase what we have to trade. But if Rasual Butler and EJ finally get around their inconsistancies and Rasual starts defending better, I think we'll be straight heading into the Post season. Two real big IFs though...

Yea, that would not happen. The Clipps won't give up a potential superstar in Maggette. And, like what has been said, the Heat don't have much trade bait, so, a trade for Corey isn't likely to occur.

Send EJ away. If we only can get a bench player, woo hoo trade him anyway, cuz that bench player will play better than EJ anyway.

    Lineup change

Van Gundy's first lineup change turned out to be a disaster.

Started Wesley Person over Rasual Butler.

I personally don't like the move. Not just based on the Toronto game, but I think we lose alot of athleticism with Butler out. I just don't feel Wesley is the answer, especially if he's not shooting well from the perimeter.

Check my post on the Toronto game, I refuse to waste more energy on such a horrible performance from the perimeter.

<font color="Red">What's your take on the starting lineup? What is the best rotation?
Do you feel Wesley Person should be a starter on this team? Will he start the next game?</font>

Is it time to move Eddie Jones to the bench?

PLENTY OF QUESTIONS, WHO HAS THE ANSWERS ???? [IMG] [IMG]

Why would he be playing like crap on purpose? I agree though, DJ should start and EJ should come off the bench as a 6th man. Once he starts becoming more efficient put him to start again.

I like it. Damon Jones has been playing really well recently, except for the Toronto game. He deserves to start.
