hey guys i was reading this article from the sacbee and felt the comments made by adelman about divac weren't very cool.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">...On second thought, Kings coach Rick Adelman agrees with Shaquille O'Neal's assessment of Vlade Divac's tactics.

"He definitely flops," Adelman said of Divac, whom the Kings will see as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at Staples Center. "He moves on picks. He does a lot of stuff that's illegal."

That "stuff" is perceived differently when you're playing against Divac instead of with him, as many of the Kings did for the past six seasons. They haven't seen each other in awhile, since Divac didn't make the trip when the teams met in Fresno during the preseason...</div>
sure, we all know divac does certain things, but they help his team and they have been helpnig the kings the past 6 seasons. perhaps he was hoping for some publicity and browny points with the refs, but when you are talking about a player who was one of the key guys in bringing the kings onto the nba map, it just simply doesn't seem appropriate.

let me know what you think?

he is just callin it how he sees it...something I have been doing for a long time.

does he flop? yes. no one is going to deny that...
does he move on picks? sure... but then again, he isnt the only one that does.
Im not baggin on him, but just because its Vlade doesnt mean you have to be less than truthfull about how he plays.

It is not like he is really disrespecting Vlade he is just stating something that he hopes the refs will watch for when the teams play each other this year. He is playing the game of NBA business, and who would be more credable then a players former coach in knowing what tactics he uses.

yes, i fully agree with your statement about the refs. i just thought that as a former coach of six years you wouldn't want to sinlge him out of the whole team out some form of respect.

yes, i agree that they all do illegal moves and everyone else knows it, but it was just a thought on my behalf.

He didnt seem to care about that when Vlade was a King...Adelman message to you: "Shut up and let the refs call the game the way they want to call it, we dont need you pointing things out, especially when you didnt point them out when he was on your team last year."

Hey, what would you do in Adelman's position with Divac n your team? if the refs donm't call it, so be it, but Divac is gone, Adelamn is free to say what he has known for years. just bercasue he doesnt say things publicly, deosnt mean hes never said them or knew them.

Exactly.there wasn't nothing wrong with his old coach making some critques of him.it's all part of the game.for some people it sounds like an insult, but i don't think that's the case here.

Bascially he is stating his opinion [IMG]
