THAT IS SUCH UNBELIVABLE CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!! jalen was so fouled on that play to bring us within one! he got smacked right on the arm as he went up! BAH!!! cant expect a call in that situation, but when its an obvious foul that would have been a huge play and tied the game. we needed that call. oh well...officiating was pretty solid all game long...ya gotta expect one or two blown calls a game we still got a chance to tie it though. *prays* ------------------------------------------------ *edit* well nevermind its over now mo pete's blown layup pretty much cost us the game. it really pisses me off when we lose close games like that and you can look at just a couple things that would have made the difference...for example bosh's struggle's at the free-throw line, or mo pete's blown layup. why didnt he just dunk it!? oh well...we played like garbage and still almost won. least we have that
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 02civic:</div><div class="quote_post">fluke?</div> We didn't deserve to win with how we played, I hope everyone also understands why I hate Jalen Rose, 3-9, 5 turnovers, great performace buddy. MoPete did good even though he missed a layup, and we just didn't come out strong. Rafer just blew it today, any little performace from him could've won the game from us, I mean just hit 1 of those 5 three's or something. 1-9, 0-5 3PT, 3 assists. Palacio has definately worked on his layups, he doesn't throw those alley oops to Carter anymore, finally, he had 3 turnovers, but played a good game also. Has Matt Bonner replaced Donyell Marshall, he has 10 times a better mid-range jumper, doesn't take three's really even though he has the range, and obviously hustles a lot. I still haven't seen him hit rim on any of his makes yet
Knicks didn't play too well so a Raptor rally I knew was going to take place. I knew the Knicks weren't going to lose this one after a poor performance on Wednesday.
We flat out didn't deserve to win today. We made the comebacks when we had to, but we sucked defensively and couldn't get any stops. The 1st Quarter and start of the 3rd killed us. Milt Palacio and the Zoo Crew was tremendous today. Alston had a little too much blood pumping in him at the MSG, which is understandable, so Milt picked up his slack, going to the basket and creating shots whenever he the oppurtunity. Matt Bonner, The Red Rocket! 6-7, 12 Points and 6 boards. This guy can flat out shoot, and for some reason the Knicks do not know that. He's like our version of Brian Cardinal. Loren Woods with another solid performance. 9 Points, 10 boards and 2 Blocks. Though he didn't play much in the 2nd half because the Raps went small. Morris Peterson was spectactular off the bench, especially down in the 4th. That open, missed, right handed lay-up seems to be costly now that you think of it, but oh well, we had our chances, and Mo was a big reason why we were back in the game. Marshall didn't play that well, throwing up a brick, and missing easy and difficult putbacks. Nice to see him back though. Jalen Rose didn't play good. Too many early, long shots in the shot clock, that resulted in misses. Didn't take care of the ball well, with 5 turnovers. Sam Mitchell, didn't seem like Sam Mitchell today, because Rose was clearly playing poorly today, and he wasn't taken out of the game in favour of somone else like Lamond. ....Speaking of Lammond Murray, why wasn't he in there late in the game when the Raps needed a 3, down by 5? Milt Palacio was in there...I mean the guy has had a great game, but he wasn't going to get you a 3. Vince with a decent performance. 6-14, 19 Points, in 32 Minutes. A tad bit slow going off screens and chasing Crawford....I remember the days when Vince was the one being chased around. Offensively he was good in the 2nd half, collecting 15 of his 19 points. I noticed that Marbury was on him alot, and he didn't get the ball enough. When he did get the ball, he either took a straight jumper, a step back jumper, or he passed it. One of the few times he went to the basket, he got fouled, and could've slammed it down hard in the first half. He seemed to stop after that, until the last possession, where he went to the basket, but tended to fade away, using his left hand. One last comment on VC; Did anyone notice he was the only player in purple, the prayer circle at half court at the end of the game? Geez. Rafers streak of consecutive games with a 3 pointer ended today at 61 games, 28 games shy of Dana Barros's record. He was due for a bad game sometime, and its reasonable that it came at the MSG in his home town. Milt picked up the slack anywho. Looking forward to the Wizards game.
ya i noticed vince in the middle prayer circle....during the thrid qyartyer i fell asleep bc it was so embarassing and the raptors had no intensity...so i knew they were going to lose ... also, after the raptors lost..all vince does is hug the knicks and smile...what kinda bullshit is that
I missed it...I thought it was @ night... oh well, at least it wasn't a blow out, like it was supposed to be

The Knicks would love to have him aswell. But, it also shows good sportsmanship hugging your opponents. I didn't see any other Raptor doing that.

Of course this was after the game, but after a loss like that, you're not suppose to be happy hugging the people that just defeated you in a circle. Whether its a religous belief or not for VC, the prayer circle thing only happens in the MSG, and he doesn't have to be apart of it after a loss like that. If it was a win, I could understand, but it was a loss.
Didnt watch the game but it seems like we didnt do so well. But seeing the hilites it looked like vince was all smiles after we lost. well hopefully we will win at home against the wizards tomorrow.

it doesnt mean u smile... when you lose a play-off round in hockey every1 shakes, but you dont see the losing team smiling.. do u?
Why can't VC smile? That just makes him even more sportsmanship like. Besides this isn't the playoffs or hockey.
I think it's cool if an NBA player smiles after they lose. The amount of heart VC plays with you know he doesn't enjoy it. If it weren'y for him the Raptors would have never been back in the game that 3 especially carried the team abit.

Carter helped the Raps back in the game, but they lost. A loss is suppose to be treated as a lost. You're not suppose to hug players when you lose. Vince was the only raptor doing that. I know whenever I lose a team game in my league, I don't go around hugging the players, because well I'm not in the mood, and I lost.
Vince isn't you. He played his best what can he do? He might be in the mood to give his opponenets props for playing so well. Again it shows good sportsmanship on Vince. Sportsmanship is when you lose and if you win. That seperates many players. A person that shows good sportsmanship does this on good times and bad times. Not just when he feels like it or when he's in the mood.
