I was just wondering dont you think he would be a nice addition to our team i dont know his salary or anything but i think a trade could be possible some sort of trade like a chucky atkins and deaven george for Rafer.

I would take that any day. So discuss and can soemone post his salary thanks.

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/toronto.htm I highly question the possibility of this happening Alston is playing incredable for Toronto averaging 15 points a game, and considering he is a good point guard something toronto has been needing for years I dont see him getting traded.

Even if the salary matches, it's highly doubtful that the Raps are gonna trade him away. Alston's playing superb this season, unless the Raps get some player of star quality I don't see them trading him away for nothing.

You know, right now, I'm actually satisfied with the way Chucky is playing. He's hitting from downtown for us, and we haven't had a serious threat from downtown in years, and he's filled that void nicely, hitting on 26/57 from beyond the arc this year. He's shooting 44% from the floor, which isn't terrible either. The one thing he needs to do though is distribute the ball more. He's not even getting 4 apg right now. The Lakers need him to get that stat up anywhere between 4.5-6 apg. In other words, he needs to distribute the ball more. And it's not like he doesn't have people to distribute to, it's just, he doesn't sometimes. Than again, he does have a shoot first mentality. But, aside from the assists, I have nothing against him and think he's done a good job this year.

Yeah, Kobe is dishing more APG than Atkins. I would like him to focus on that a bit more. He is doing well though.

In Rudy's offense Kobe is usually doing most of the ball handling, thats why he has more assist. Unlike last year in Phil wanted Kobe to score off the ball.

Toronto wouldn't except that trade. Alston's averaging 15 points and 7 assists. Great fit for Toronto. Let's make reasonable deals here.

alot of teams lowballing the raptors players round here. I've heard Tim Thomas for Vince Carter, Scrubs for Bosh and now George and Atkins for Alston. Not even if you included the laker girls would i consider the trade (if i was the Raps GM)

<font color="Purple">i also like alston game. i even ask in a Lakers thread about this:
i alston wasn't already sign with toronto when Lakers trade Shaq to Miami, i think Lakers will ask for alston.

but now i dont think they will let go of raef unless we gave a superstar level player and that would not be george.

and i like atkins but he is not really a typical starting point guard. he's more of a back-up.

I don't think we should even stress this trade.

    A) It more then likely will not happen. (Never say never...)
[IMG] Chucky Atkins will get better, and right now, he isn't bad. I mean sure... he isn't one of the top point guards in the league or anything, but he's solid enough. What we need is more inside presence.

[IMG] No, we wouldn't even think of it, maybe if you thought of trying to help our team rather than just getting rid of player you don't like, but the Raptors have too many swingmen already, and Chucky doesn't even compare to Rafer, and even if we didn't have to man swingmen we still wouldn't do it lol.

why are you just throwing out trades without taking a look at other things and consider them?? Divac is and has been injured for some time now so that's a no. Chucky Atkins is not even playing as well as alston. I would only say yes if the lakers threw in caron or LO for rose and alston.

I've made a "trade thread" that's also a sticky...so I'm closing this thread. If you feel like a realistic trade for Rafer Alston (or any other player) can be made, feel the need to post it, and we'll all talk about it.
