A lot of good games, first Michigan St. vs. Duke should be a great game, Michigan St. has one of the best offences in college basketball, Michigan St. by 4 in this one.

Maryland @ Wisconsin is also another good one, both teams are young, I'll take Wisconsin with the home crowd at their backs in this one. Wisconsin by 2.

The best game here is Wake @ Illinois, two great PG's meet up, Dee Brown and Chris Paul, this game will go back and forth but I am taking Wake by 5.

Other then those I think Gerogia Tech will win. Even though Indiana has a some great freshman I think UNC will take that one. NC State should win against Purdue.

Should be a great ACC/Big Ten Challenge!

All of those game will be some great games to tune into.

Michigan St vs. Duke- Duke has a pretty good defense to stop Michigan State's underated offense. Duke will pull the upset....If that's what you want to call it.

Maryland vs. Wisconsin- Maryland played with a lot og heart against Memphis blowing them out. now they have to play another very good team who is coming off a loss to unranked Pepperdine. I feel that Maryland's starting 5 is just too tough for Wisconson.

Illinois vs. Wake- Going to be a heck of game. Arguably will feature 2 of the best backcourts in the nation in Dee Brown and Chris Paul. This one will be a real barn burner with Illinois pulling the upset.

Overall, I think the Big Ten will win the most games.

Opposite here, I have the ACC winning the most, with only the Big 10 winning 2 matchups. I have Illinois beating Wake and OSU beating Clemson.

Michigan at Georgia Tech - Georgia Tech
Florida State at Minnesota - FSU
Michigan State at Duke - Michigan State
Maryland at Wisconsin - Maryland (real close game, MD looked impressive against Memphis though)

Wake Forest at Illinois - Wake Forest
Ohio State at Clemson - Clemson
North Carolina at Indiana - North Carolina
    Virginia at Northwestern - Virginia

Sorry, the ACC is just a much better conference...

I can't wait for the Terps/Wisconsin game tommorow night. The terps has been impressive this year beating the Memphis tigers by 20+ points. Go ACC!

Lots of very good looking games. In specific, Michigan State vs. Duke will be great. MSU has been blowing out opponents and will look to do something against Duke this year after losing to em last year. The others that interest me are Wake vs. Illinois and Maryland vs. Wisconsin. Overall though, I think it will be a great tourney, and go Big 10.

Beating their ass? They won by seven points and it was a one point game with about a minute left. How exactly did they beat their ass? First of all, I'd like to congradulate the officials, ESPN, and every other media source in America for kissing Duke's *** at every opportunity possible. I have never had as much of a problem with the commentating or the reffing before in my life as I had tonight. Every word out of dick's mouth was Duke this, Duke that, and when they'd make some unbalanced luck shot three pointer, he would explode. Yet when Michigan State would drive right back down and slam one right in the face of Redick, he would remain calm and ramble on about how great of a team Duke is. Even being as biased as he was, dick even noticed some of the crappy calls by the officials. There were at least five or six calls in the game that CLEARLY should have gone in Michigan State's favor. There was one call where Torbert grabbed a rebound with no one around him and was whistled for a foul. The Duke crowd obviously got ahold of the officials for an unfair advantage and dick wouldn't shut his damn mouth about Duke. It seemed the only time he talked about Michigan State was when he brought up last year's loss or when he brought up how they've only played easy teams so far. Well, who the hell has Duke played that's so special? I swear that if I hear one more of dick's lame *** ACC-biased comments I will snap.

BTW - Why is everyone a Duke fan? To me it seems that the only reason why a Canadian with no family at Duke or from North Carolina would like Duke is that they latched on as a bandwagoner during their winning years even though they could never actually get into Duke themselves. I mean, come on, why should I care what you have to say badly about this Duke game when you have no credibility as a fan yourself?

I hate Puke with a passion and Dickie V should be named Dukie V. I swear, they guy loves the Duke. He shouldn't even be allowed to be a commentator with how much love he has for the Dookies...

Thanks for the support. It's not too often we get non-ACC support in the college forum with all of these Duke/UNC fans. [IMG]

Anyway, I just wanted to add that it's good to get your losses out of the way early. It's extremely rare that teams finish undefeated, so losses are just a part of the game. I remember when Wisconsin dropped in the rankings eight spots for just one loss, but now they're beating Maryland with about half a minute left (although this might jinx it). It seems that college fans loose focuss of the main goal too often. Everyone gets too hyped up about the regular season when the tournament is designed so that the #16 seed has a chance of winning the national championship. Just as long as you make the big dance, the regular season doesn't matter much. It's also worse to get losses towards the end of the season, because those are the ones fresh on the selection commitee's minds. When all these ACC teams beat eachother up in conference play, they should drop considerably.

Missed free-throws cost MSU that one, missing 5 in the last 2/3 minutes will not get It done. I thought when Brown slamed home that alley-oop I expected MSU to comeback and win it. They then cut the Duke lead to 1 It looked a very possible road win but Ewing's big three killed It, I only saw the last 12 minutes of the game but he was unguardable. With Duhon gone I suspect he will have to take on more of a leadership role this year. He hit big buckets when Duke needed It most. Was a good game and the best one I have seen so far along with Zona/Wake.

Great game, I was only able to catch the end though. But yea, MSU beat themselves tonight with missed free throws in the end. They needed those ones bad. On a lighter note though, anyone see that sick oop to Shannon Brown? That was one hellaciously great play that is easily one of the best dunks this year.

Agreed! This game was not a blow out, MSU had a chance to take that game. I agree with AllNet that you can't win with shooting 66% from the line and State couldn't contain Redick and Ewing who both scored 29. If they would have made 5 of those free throws then MSU might have taken this game. This game was certainly not a blow out though.

Wisconsin upset Maryland, I think I called that one in the 2nd post of this thread [IMG]

I didn't get a chance to catch that one but from what I heard it was a really good game, Alando Tucker looks like he really played well and is showing promise for the future.

I watched that game during the breaks of the Michigan State game, and Chambliss was the real driving force for the Badgers. I honestly didn't think this was an upset. Based on their ESPN poll positions, it is an upset, but I don't put too much stock in those polls this early into the season because one loss will drop you about ten spots.
