<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">Mostly simple things, trapping on the pick and roll, the other players were helping Brand out with Ilguaskas, and it was really a lot about the help defense, the one on one defense was good, but the help defense is what changed the game.

The Clippers were helping on the drives, and the big men would come out and pick up the opposing guard on a pick and roll, and then the Clippers guard would come back and double, if the CLE guard passed it out, the big man would quickly rotate over back to his man who just recieved the ball, and that was mostly what is was. This was forcing the Cavs to reset a lot, get deep in the clock, commit turnovers, and also was getting the ball in the wrong hands.</div>
All good things come to those who play good defense. You heard it here [IMG].

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">The defense the becamse a catalyst for the offense, and with how the team likes to run it just helped them to build the lead and maintain it.</div>
Even though I didn't get to see this one, it sure seemed there were a lot of fast break points going on, and all of them seemed to be in the Clips favor. You think the Clippers can keep this intesity or is this a mirage and were they up for "the big game against LeBron"...?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">The best double was Mikki Moore and Simmons on Lebron in the corner which forced a timeout, and off the inbounds play they made LJ take a fadeaway three from the corner with 2 hands in his face, a pretty impossible shot, he got an airball on that one.

Anyways, this is the new Clippers, it's no more a battle for stats and contracts, it's actually trying to win, and the defense is so good without Q, and also everyone on the team trust each other.</div>

And best of luck to them as well. They just handed the 'New Cavaliers' a loss that they didn't want. No small potatoes.

    Sincerely,

    Chip

Elton Brand was a beast tonight. By the time Silas found someone that could stop him it was too late, momentem was with the Clippers from the beggining to the end. Bobby Simmons looked like an all-star out there shooting the ball with confidence. Boy came out of no where making noise.

The Cavaliers really suffer from the pick and roll and with good shooting teams like the Clips (leads the league in fg%). The bench didn't show up tonight (as usual) as Wags was bashed and smothered in between players during pick and rolls. Wagner shouldn't be out there when we are trying to climb back up. You get back into the game playing defense, not offense. Wagner is a HUGE liabilty on D and it showed tonight. He guarded Jaric and all they did was play P/R on him. Simmon's stepped it up big.

LeBron needs to get into the game earlier than he usually does. I understand Z is the focal point and should get the ball 1st and play the inside and outside game, but Bron is the knife that scoops the butter. He changes the momentum and he can dominate the game at any point. Sometime this season he needs to learn to be more "unselfish" than usual. We need him to score more than throw out assists, we have Mac and Snow doing that for him.

Good game Clippers fans, I know you enjoyed it. Exciting game til about 5 minutes left on the clock. From then on, it was Clipper's game.

It seems like LeBron has a little more trouble playing on the road than at home. I think he has soemthing like a 12 point difference in point per game when playing away from home.

He's still averaging something like 20 points away if that tells you anything!
