It has been reported on hoophype.com today that the Denver nuggets are intrested in aquiring the serves of bulls swing man Eric Piakowski to replace the injured Leonard in the lineup. Depending on who we would recieve in this trade it would probably be best for us since Eric has not done much to heklp the Bulls a change is obviously needed this may be one of the moves the team will be making for cap room next season. Much like the specualtion on trading for Glenn Robinson.
well i love this trade from both teams perspective. because i believe tyson chandler is a good solid player but while watching him play wiht the bulls he doesnt seems as if he fits in with there team. I mean chandler looks so lost at times while watching the bulls play. i believe nene can give the bulls the inside help that they were trying to get from there tall small forward. and denver gets a solid shooting gaurd that can help spread the floor out for the nugs while there former three point champion is sidelined with his injuries.
I would DEFINITELY take Nene, Skita, and White for Pike and Tyson. I love Tyson and his work ethic, but that trade's too good to pass up IMO.
I agreee with ObieCent, I would take that deal in a split second. White can score on any given moment, sure he's streaky but we have steadier players he wont be the first option. Nene is proven and is going to give 10,10 everynight if not more and Skita is going to be good if given the oppurtunity to play in a suited situation. I would pull the trigger on the denver deal right away.
If we were offered Skita, Nene, and White for Chandler and Piatowski, I'd pull the trigger on that in an instant. For one, it gets rid of Chandler who, despite showing signs of being good and living up to his potential, has been erratic ever since dawning the red and black of the Chicago Bulls. He has not lived up to his potential, and quite frankly, as long as he's in Chicago, he never will. Than we get Nene in return. Nene is a much more proven big man who has shown much more consistency and, in the East, would easily be giving us 15/10 a night because of his size and strength. I'd definitely pull the trigger on that if it ever surfaced as an actual trade.
The only problem I see with this trade is that once again it leaves the Bulls very understaffed at the 2 guard. Granted Pike is not really producing but he does add that perimiter presence and depth at the position. The Tyson Chandler for Nene aspect of the deal I like. Nene is ready to make the move from average to good and on the right team I think he can average 12 or 13 ppg or more and 10 rpg while Tyson has gone stagnant with the Bulls. I also like the fact that Nene is big enough to play both Center and power forward. 6'11" and 260 is gold in the league right now. A change of scenery could do both some good. Rodney White is a streaky scorer but gives us some depth at PF and SF and showed some flashes of a nicely developing game last year. Nikoloz Tskitishvili to me is a throw in with a little potential and once again on the right team he could shine. He is a 7 footer and that is rare so all in all I hope this trade goes down but the Bulls will need to make another trade to fill the void at SG. Eddy Curry for Bonzi Wells anyone?

Beyond that, if all necessary, Nocioni could probably be moved to the shooting guard spot and Deng could also probably play it. But, yea, it would leave em slightly thin. But than again, they could pull what they did the last couple games and stick Duhon at the point and put Kirk at the shooting guard. Who knows. I just would love if this trade was more than a rumor, cause more often than not, a rumor just doesn't go down.
Good points Moo, the only problem I have with Duhon playing the point is he is a non factor on the offensive end and lets be honest neither Hinrich or Gordon are big enough to effectively play the 2 so that makes our back court a liability and when that happens it allows your opponent to focus on the front court which makes them less effective. That being said you are right about moving Nocioni or Deng to the 2 but doing that once again leaves a void at SF. The whole balance of this team is off and the only remedy I see is to make some moves. While you are right about Memphis not needing Curry they have expressed an intrest in him and if they got him it would make room for a trade of one of their several big men.The trade with Denver needs to go down though because the Bulls are floundering with the current line up and new teams could spark several careers on both teams. John Paxson are you listening? Lets get this one done!
^ Duhon is not a non-factor on the offensive end. Duhon's impressed me ALOT on offense. Offense isn't just scoring. He's by far the best passer this team has seen in a long time. He's one of the few bright spots our team has seen this season. I'd actually like to see him continue start for awhile, 2 more games to see how it works. He runs our offense better than anyone, really (no offense to Kirk or anything, but Duhon's more fit as a PG). Gordon's certainly capable of playing the shooting guard spot. He's very strong (but doesn't seem to wanna display it in his passing) at 200 lbs, if you thought Crawford could play the 2 then Gordon's more than capable (Crawford-190 lbs.). His height is his disadvantage, however he's quicker than the majority of most 2's in the league and his jumper is great once he can get going. He's gonna have to log minutes at the point, where physically, very very few pointguards will be able to match up with him. If this trade indeed does happen, I'd love to see Skita get a big role. His shooting would definitely help the spacing out on the floor. Teams can just focus on stopping our down low guys it seems, because our perimeter players (with a few exceptions) can't hit a J to save their life. Skita can now (Since last offseason) log minutes at center because of the muscle he gained, he can play the 4, and play some 3 as well. If he could establish a role here in Chicago, then he could be a very valuable contributor. Although I'd hate to have the "thug" Rodney White for off the court reasons, he'd still be a valuable on-court contributor. Nene would also help in the low post scoring. He could probably get 14 and 8 in the East. Please Paxson, find a way to do this trade!

I also agree with your point that Gordon can play the 2 especially when you compared the weights with crawford and gordon. I always thought crawford was around 175. Either way, the guy never really had much power and was always a little "twiggy" But I think we would need to move Curry. Would it be feasible to move Nene over to Center? I know he plays PF in Denver, but c'mon the guy is pretty big 6'10" 250 or so. I think in the east this guy can average more around 20/8 givena full time roll. I think he's a lot more dedicated than Curry. Who knows maybe Curry will prove us wrong in the upcoming months.
I'm not sure Nene could put those numbers up at this point, but I'm sure he could in 1 or 2 years. Lower numbers are probably a safer bet as of right now. And he can definitely play C, I was just saying that in the event that Curry's kept along with Nene. I'm hoping Curry proves us wrong. Imagine, a Curry and Nene 1-2 punch at the 4-5... If we do need to move Curry, we can get ourselves a guy who's more of a defensive big man. Nene could do the scoring for us down low. Or perhaps we could get a SG, but I'd probably rather take the defensive minded big man because I see Gordon as our future 2-guard.
i would do this trade in a second. a young strong center with solid defense (nene) and a power forward who can score (white).

And yea, he was injured for 7 games I believe earlier this year. But, actually, last year when he started, he was getting 12/7, and that's in a tough Western conference. So, if he can put those up out West, I'd think he could quite easily top those in a much weaker Eastern conference.

They wanted him in the offseason, and were offering Swift and Wells for ERob and Curry. For some dillusional reason we didn't do it. I am still struggling to comprehend that one. ----
^ Did Memphis actually lean towards accepting that offer? I would do that in a heartbeat. I remember hearing this rumor but I never heard anything about it since.
Ok ObieCent Granted Duhon is a good passer but you dont see a guy shooting .275 and .240 from the arc as a liability? Im not saying that he cant or wont improve but as of now I am unimpressed. You are right there is more to offense than scoring but passing in its self wont put points on the board and if Duhons man is playing off of him because they dont respect his shot it makes it that much harder for the recipiant of the pass to to score. If your man stays with you because of the threat of you sticking a jumper he cant double team,it makes it harder to play the passing lanes, you get my point. Dont get me wrong I really liked Duhons game at Duke but I do not think he is ready to take over the starting point guard spot from a guy who is averaging 13.9 ppg and 7.5apg. Thats my opinion.
No, I'm not saying that his shooting isn't a liability as of now with his shooting. I just stated that he's in no way a "non-factor on offense". I agree that he shouldn't take over Kirk's spot, but he should still get a valuable role with this team. If Tyson can have double-doubles like this (not with as many rebounds, of course) consistently, I might actually have to reconsider the trade. I doubt Skiles would let it happen after a game like this, he's gonna give Tyson more chances.
