I just see something like this coming . . . maybe I'm just a dreamer, Shaq's contract is up at the end of next season. After that, he can sign with any team that he wants too, as long as he's satisfied with the money thy're giving. So, over the next 2 years, they both (KB and Shaq) have time to think about what they had and where they're going apart from each other. Was the ego worth it? Am I better off away from (KB, Shaq)? Given a second chance to put ego's aside for a yearly chance of being a top contender for the NBA crown, I would hope they'd both swallow their pride or ego's and just play like they did during their 3-peat. Also, it was recently reported that Laker owner Jerry Buss wants to "make amends" with Shaq. He still hasn't spoken to Shaq since un-PR gm Kupchak made those unsavory comments about shaq's request for a trade. Cuz let's face it, Shaq needs to retire a Laker, Possible or not?
nope...but your're right about one thing for sure...you're a deamer i guess anything is possible, but i just dont see this one happening.
impossible, shaq will break kobe's face at practice... and you forgot to mention the fact that the Heat are gonna win the championship... I don't even like them
Sorry but no, I wished they would have put their differences apart but it wont happen, hey but I hear that Shaq is getting frustrated in Miami so it could happen.
No way, as long as Kobe is on the Lakers, I doubt Shaq will ever play there again.Shaq and Kobe just hate each other, its plain and simple. In other words, your a big time dreamer.
Shaq should NOT end his career with the Lakers. He should end it with the Magic. Orlando is where he started his career and he has said he wanted to play with the magic just not this year because he didnt want to be with a "rebuilding" team but with a team that is a contender.
Shaq won't come back to the Lakers. For one, his asking price would be too high, and considering the amount we're paying Kobe and Lamar, we wouldn't be able to afford him anyways. Beyond that, him and Kobe will never get along again. There is a reason why he was traded, and that is probably why. Kupchak and co. are building this team around Kobe, and by bringing back Shaq, Kobe might see that as a slap in the face and end up wanting to leave the Lakers. So no, this will never happen.
nope sorry. Kobe and Shaq loathed each other. however they have a new coach, but I think Shaq already likes Miami and who he plays with.
I wish things would have worked out between them. But they both have what they want now. Kobe wanted his own team and Shaq wanted a team that was willing to cooperate and a guard that was a good player willing to do whatever it takes to win. I'm not trying to get a war started here and i'm not dissing Kobe but I think he is a player that has to be the first option in the offense to perform well. Neither of them like each other. It was like that from day one. If Shaq came back there would be to much trouble and hard feelings for them to accomplish anything as a team. This will never happen, Shaq wouldn't want to come back after what happened and Kobe would be mad if he did come back.
Probably highly unlikely, but never say never. After Kobe waved off Malone for a screen during an All-Star game, who would've thought that they'd willingly end up on the same team? Who would've thought Jordan and Bryon Russell would end up on the same team after MJ 'nudged' him away for the big shot? Who would've thought Isiah Thomas would ever coach MJ, even if it was just an All-Star game? The future is unpredictable.
I seriously wouldn't want Shaq back in purple and gold, after all the garbage he's said about the franchise, and how he's predicting a championship with the Heat. Keep "your" team, Shaq. You asked for the trade, you got your trade... I wouldn't give up Brian Cook for Shaq...now, or in 2 years...and I'd put my life on it. If I was Buss, I'd say no.
Nope, The Lakers's payroll for The 2006-2007 season is already 50 Million plus dollars, that's even before, or if, they resign Devean George, Chucky Atkins, Kareem Rush, and Luke Walton. The Lakers are currently fastened tightly in what you'd call financial handcuffs, and they're locked in for at least another few seasons unless they make a drastic move. Just because Shaq is gone doesn't give them cap room, remember they traded for Lamar Odom and Brian Grant's contract's which match O'Neal's 25 Million a year paycheck. So to sum things up, basically it's like The Lakers are still paying O'Neal's pay rate for the next three seasons...
hell no i don't think the lakers would want a 34 year old Shaq anyways They got Mr. Kobe afterall ?????????????????
I don`t think Shaq even wants to think about L.A.. He looks very comfortable where he is now, chillin at South Beach with the Heat.
No, I wouldn't want that big, fat, egotistical jerk back either. Championship or no, I'd rather see some hard working scrubs than watch a boring half court game bogged down even more by a lazy Shaq. I wonder how fast he'll get tired of Wade and request another trade?
nah i dont see this happening. I reckon shaq wants to stay away from the lakers for a good while now.
