I saw this on NBA.com. It's really hard to say who's better than who. I'm gonna pretend I'm not either a fan of Wade or James and stay neutral. Wade has the best center in the league while James has perhaps the 2nd best center in the east(when considering J Oneal as PF). Wade's team is doing better by .5 game(thanks for correction ). Last time they played, Wade's heat got the win. Wade had to adapt to his new position which he'd never played and is only in his 2nd year playing that new position. LeBron's been Player of the Week in the Eastern Conference twice in the first month. Wade (Mia 10-5) FG% 3P% FT% RPG APG SPG BPG PPG .515 .500 .784 5.10 7.7 2.00 1.38 25.2 James (Cle 9-5) FG% 3P% FT% RPG APG SPG BPG PPG .515 .357 .771 7.80 6.1 2.43 1.14 26.3 So who do you think is better? <== still thinking......
Wade is great, but I think it is obviously Bron. Look at the pressure been put on him, and he has been performing beyond what was expected. He will end up being a top 3 player EVER if he continues at this rate, not the same for Wade. Wade will be a superstar..LeBron will be on the level after that.
I think they are about even, I have to give it to LeBron though. Wade (Mia 10-5) FG% 3P% FT% RPG APG SPG BPG PPG .515 .500 .784 5.10 7.7 2.00 1.38 25.2 James (Cle 9-5) FG% 3P% FT% RPG APG SPG BPG PPG .515 .357 .771 7.80 6.1 2.43 1.14 26.3 Heat have played 1 more game than the Cavs. (The cavs are .5 games behind not 1 ) They are even in FG%, Wade has advantage on 3 Ppointeers but he has only shot 2. FT percentage is about the same. LeBron has advantage on Rebounds but D-wade has shaq which minimizes his rebounds. D-Wade has advantage on assists but he has Shaq to feed too. Lebron BARELY has more steals. D-Wade has about 1 more block a game then LeBron. LeBron scores more then d-wade by about 1. Also Wade came from college and has more experience then James. 'Bron came straight from high school and is playing great.
I would take Lebron. But it is a very tough call. I think Lebron is a more complete player right now and is more versitale. But they both will leave theiir mark on the game.
I would go with D. Wade, Lebron is a great athlete and lived up to the hype, but Wade plays out of position and has adapted well, not to mention Wade took his team to the playoffs last year all the way to the second round and made big time shots. ::::: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SKOLNICK: Wade is thriving at point guard I hope I continue to prove that," a grinning Wade said Sunday after leading the Heat to victory with 25 points and, as impressively, nine assists against two turnovers. "I think this will be a position that I will excel at as we go on. I will always hopefully play some two. But I think the point guard position is where I [create] different matchup problems, and use my size against smaller guys, or use my quickness to get around bigger guys." Source </div> Their first meeting this year favored Wade: Nov. 4 - Cavs @ Heat Lebron: 21 pts, 6 rebs, 8 assists, 1 steal, 9-22 FG, FG 40%, FT 1-1 Wade: 28 pts, 6 rebs, 5 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks, 10-20 FG, FG 50%, FT 8-10
One game doesnt make a difference. If you judged Gary Payton and Steve Francis just in the game last night who do you think would be "favored". LeBron is the better player. D-Wade is the 2nd best 2nd year player though without a doubt.
I was just giving stats of their head to head matchup, I didnt base my decision on that....jeez If your IQ was two points higher, you'd be a rock
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting OGmAXiFY:</div><div class="quote_post">I was just giving stats of their head to head matchup, I didnt base my decision on that....jeez If your IQ was two points higher, you'd be a rock</div> So I can say the same about your IQ, since my opinion is different from yours, correct? No need to attack members that think differently than you do...since you're the only one in this thread so far that thinks Wade is better. LeBron is the better player. He was last year, and is this season...and will be for years to come. Everyone called it hype, because he was out of high school...but some of the best players in the league come out of high school, including your NBA MVP of last year, Kevin Garnett...Jermaine O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady, Amare Stoudemire, etc. Then people denied his abilities because the Cavs were out of the playoffs...but remember, Wade had Odom, Butler and Grant to play alongside, also. Even with Shaq, LeBron is still better than Wade.
Sad but true. Well Lebron, first of all, has the body that's not 19 year old's body. He looks and plays like 26-27 years old and there's reason why he was #1 choice outta draft... And in basketball, size does matter most of the time so... I like Lebron too and I honestly would have to say Lebron is better player but yeah wade is right behind him in my category.
lebron. and i do believe he's been playing out of position from time to time as well in the SF spot. any body know for sure?

He had Boozer... Zydrunas Ilgauskas...last year and this year he has the Big Z, Drew Gooden and Jeff McInnis not a great reason

They had no other center. Grant played out of his natural position, regardless of his bad knees, and didn't do that bad of a job. His defensive presence went unnoticed. There's no reason to forget about Odom, Grant and Butler...just because they aren't in black and red anymore. They didn't leave the organization on bad terms. They didn't whine about a trade, cry about losing...point fingers at everyone else on the team. Instead, they swallowed their pride and looked forward to the next season, only to be traded off after the good they did for the Heat. If you want a better reason why LeBron is better than Wade...how about athleticism? Strength? Agility? Endurance? Youth? Passing skills? Nike? Sprite? ROY? Stats? Individuality? Personality? Defense? I could go on.
LeBron is better but Wade could be better in the future. LeBron can do so much. Getting rebounds, assists and points where Wade gets points and assists. LeBron is the better player even though it is close.
Lebron is clearly the better player. He is single handedly winning games for the Cavs. Both players are great though. They both have something only the true greats possess- the ability to take over games.
