I dont know how this is possible. Carter is an all-star and to trade him for Curry. It dont make sense to me.

Well, I'd like it if it was Curry and Deng for Carter. Rose would be able to move back to shooting guard and Deng would be a great starter at small forward and for the future. It won't make sense if it was just Curry for Carter.

C: Curry
PF: Bosh
SF: Deng
SG: Rose
PG: Alston

if u find a way for it to work under the cap i would strongly consider it, curry has so much potential. btw, did u guys know the raptors have 6 lottery picks on the roster: hoffa, cb4, vince, l.murray, donyell and jalen? that must be a record or something. anyways, we shouldn't be fooled by potential, curry's or any other young stud.

Chicago trades: C Eddy Curry (13.7 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 28.7 minutes)
Chicago receives: SF Vince Carter (16.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3.3 apg in 30.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +2.4 ppg, -3.0 rpg, and +2.4 apg.

Toronto trades: SF Vince Carter (16.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3.3 apg in 30.9 minutes)
Toronto receives: C Eddy Curry (13.7 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 28.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -2.4 ppg, +3.0 rpg, and -2.4 apg.

TRADE DECLINED

Due to Toronto and Chicago being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Toronto and Chicago had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did not happen here (only Toronto met the condition). This trade does not satisfy the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

doesnt even work out cap wise so it wont happen. raps arent about to take back antonio davis's contract (obviously) and an over-paid and often injured chandler wouldnt be a wise move either...so who would be included in the deal?

i dont like it at all...we are trading away one malcontent for another. apparently the entire league is in for the vince carter sweepstakes...we should continue to keep our options open untill the right trade comes our way

I don't see a trade happening. Chicago will be looking to get another big in return for Curry and Toronto would want someone to replace Carter as the go-to-guy. The only player on the Bulls that fits that description would be Deng and I highly doubt they'd let him go. If we added Araujo or Woods and they'd give us a bad contract in return, then maybe they'd give up Deng and Curry.

Ofcourse cap wise it doesn't work because they will have to be more players Chicago adds but, if I were Tornonto I would definitely not do this. Curry is still unproven although he might turn out to lose his underachieverness(highly unlikely) and everything but, this without question is a HUGE risk not worthtaking. This trade is definitely a joke and not worth taking. If I were ever going to trade Carter for Curry would make sure to put Alston in the deal and get Curry, Hinirch, Deng, and get a couple of first round picks that are lottery protected. Toronto would never do such a trade. What a waste of time.

Alston for Hinrich is a pretty decent trade. Maybe Toronto wont do it for chemistry reasons but, there is no question Hinrich will be one of the best PG's in the near futre. He already is a top PG now and is still young.

Yeah, well even though I doubt this is true. It obviously wouldn't be a straight out man for man trade, so that doesn't mean anything.

I doubt the Raptors wil trade Curry along with a player like Deng who is playing terrific right now. I am suprised Eddy Curry is still appreaing in trade rumors, Paxson has already said that he doesnt want to trade Curry or Tyson Chandler. Besides, Curry wouldnt not want to leave his home town for Toronto.

This deal doesnt even make sense for the Raptors, yes Curry has potential and has showed some work ethic, but I dont think he is worth a player of Vince Carters caliber. If the Raptors wanted to try rebuilding their team, this might be a deal they would consider but I doubt it.

I don't see it happeneing unless we get close to fair trade value. Portland has been trying to move Shareef around, and look @ what Toronto did, we rejected it.

Curry for Carter straight up is ridiculous. Maybei(I doubt it) a third team is involved. But who owuld want Vince and be willing to ship someone to the bulls?

on that note, does anybody know of any multi team trade checkers. ?

a three team trade could be worked out....peep this

Toronto trades: SF Vince Carter (16.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3.3 apg in 30.9 minutes)
SF Lamond Murray (6.2 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.4 apg in 15.8 minutes)
Toronto receives: C Eddy Curry (13.7 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 28.7 minutes)
PF Othella Harrington (5.2 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 0.2 apg in 16.6 minutes)
SG Derek Anderson (13.0 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 3.0 apg in 35.2 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +9.6 ppg, +7.3 rpg, and -0.6 apg.

Chicago trades: PF Antonio Davis (5.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 21.4 minutes)
C Eddy Curry (13.7 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 28.7 minutes)
PF Othella Harrington (5.2 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 0.2 apg in 16.6 minutes)
Chicago receives: SF Lamond Murray (6.2 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.4 apg in 15.8 minutes)
PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (15.4 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 33.2 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -2.7 ppg, -4.0 rpg, and +0.3 apg.

Portland trades: PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (15.4 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 33.2 minutes)
SG Derek Anderson (13.0 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 3.0 apg in 35.2 minutes)
Portland receives: SF Vince Carter (16.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3.3 apg in 30.9 minutes)
PF Antonio Davis (5.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 21.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -6.9 ppg, -3.3 rpg, and +0.3 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

here's a look from the angles:

Portland:
Pros:
1) Get a solid bench center in Davis to help out Ratliff, since they're kinda week for it on the bench
2) Get Vince, which all the rumours say they do indeed want. He should help thier record as well as their overall sales since Vince is still a big draw.
Cons:
1) loose cap flexibility in Rahim, although they've never been to worried about cap and were looking to move him anyway
2) loose a decent player in Anderson

Chicago
Pros:
1) Addition of Rahim allows them to shuffle Chandler to to center, which they want to do. Rahim could still be a 20 and 10 guy in the east. Also 15 million in cap room next year.
2) A solid bench player in Lamond Murray who was once a gret asset and could still be one in the right role off the bench. Has shown flashes this season.
Cons:
1) Loose a big man in Curry, although they've been unsatisfied with him for a long time, it always hurts to loose a big
2) Lamond's contract isnt that great..thought its not a back breaker since he could still be effective

Toronto
Pros:
1) Get a legit center with alot of up side, their first in team history, in hopes of straightening him up and making him fit their style
2) Get a competent Anderson, possibly could find his way into a starting role.
3) Get another competent player in Harrington, once highly praised by some. Could still be useful of the bench. And his expiring contract is the savior if he flops.
Cons:
1) Obviously loose their marquee player
2) Give up a decent bench player in Murray
3) Curry could bolt as a free agent
4) Andersons contract isnt that great...but like Lamonds, not a back breaker to an Allan Houston effect.

personally as a raptor fan i'd like this trade and hate it. I'm not sold on Curry, but we do need a big. Also i like anderson and dont hate Harrington. Also Harringtons cap room in addition to Marshalls give us a real run at Ray Allen, or re-signing Curry. As for the other teams i think they do pretty well. Filling some needs without any obvious rip offs.

ANOTHER ONE THAT COULD WORK.
they fill the needs of all three teams. They seem pretty fair. Memphis might prefer Miller instead of Wells to go, not sure if that would work for the Raps, maybe if a pick was thrown in. With Bonzi Memphis might not do it, but it could still work $ wise with Miller in his place.

Chicago trades: PF Antonio Davis (5.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 21.4 minutes)
C Eddy Curry (13.7 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 28.7 minutes)

PF Jerome Moiso (1.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 0.0 apg in 9.2 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -0.5 ppg, -4.9 rpg, and +2.7 apg.

Toronto trades: SF Vince Carter (16.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3.3 apg in 30.9 minutes)

Toronto receives: PF Othella Harrington (5.2 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 0.2 apg in 16.6 minutes)

SG Bonzi Wells (12.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.3 apg in 28.3 minutes)

C Eddy Curry (13.7 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 28.7 minutes)
