I think every team would love to have kidd on the team. With Lakers? Hell yeah they would be putting up 30 fast break points and Kobe will score all of em easily.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting whatthef?:</div><div class="quote_post">Last nights loss just shows how much the Lakers need another floor leader like J. Kidd. Mitch and Jerry need to look at this team and see that as it is, this team is at best an eight seed and out. Unless they make a serious run at getting J. Kidd, who is available and wants to come to LA, we could be in the lottery next year. I will guarantee this team will not be playing on Christmas or any other holiday next year on national tv with the players on this roster. I know it is early in the season, but I know great basketball when I see it, and this team will never be great. Get Kidd or watch those expensive seats start to empty by season end. </div> Kidd would be either a great addition or another that's exactly the opposite. The main similarity with Kidd and Kobe is both LOVE to dominate the ball. Unless someone is going to defer to the other, this marriage would not last long. Kobe is not the type of player who is going to accept just being a player who catches the ball and shoots. He loves to create in the O and if Kidd is to dominate the ball, Kobe will not be Kobe. And likewise if Kobe is to dominate the ball, Kidd pretty much loses his effectiveness. He would be just another point guard who is old with a bad knee and pretty much the next Gary Payton, "Lakered".
Kidd would be a great addition to the Lakers. He would fit into their system perfect. He would set Kobe up perfectly on the fastbreak. I would say the Lakers could make the conference finals if they added Kidd. I don't think it will happen though.
