Let's face it, no matter how content we may with this roster (young players especially), there are obviously many holes that needs to be filled. For starters, we lack some consistency and most importantly size. We were once championship contenders, now we are not even Eastern Conference contenders. While we may very happy with our young players, and we indeed want to keep most of them, we have other players that are expandable. Glenn Robinson, Marc Jackson, Kenny Thomas, Aaron McKie, Brian Skinner and in some people eyes even Allen Iverson are expandable, and if for the right players, a couple of our younger guys can also be expandable as well.

So what are some trade ideas that you think would help benefit this team either now(while Iverson is still among the NBA elite) or down the road?

Also, I trust you guys, but please don't exaggerate any of your trade ideas, i.e. Kenny Thomas for Kevin Garnett. So please, make some reasonable trades. To help make those trades, you can use the Trade Checker courtesy of RealGM.

I'll post some of my trade ideas later on, but let's see what kind of trades you have in mind.

Philadelphia trades: Glenn Robinson (No games yet)
PF Kenny Thomas (6.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 0.8 apg in 22.7 minutes)
Philadelphia receives: PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (15.4 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 33.2 minutes)
    C Joel Przybilla (0.8 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 6.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +9.9 ppg, +3.7 rpg, and +0.7 apg.

Portland trades: PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (15.4 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 33.2 minutes)
    C Joel Przybilla (0.8 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 6.9 minutes)
Portland receives: Glenn Robinson (No games yet played in 2004/05)
PF Kenny Thomas (6.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 0.8 apg in 22.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -9.9 ppg, -3.7 rpg, and -0.7 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Philadelphia and Portland being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Philadelphia and Portland had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I was thinking about this trade, it would add a real number two scoring option for Iverson, plus we get rid of Glenn Robinson (who is a cancer) and a slumping Kenny Thomas. Portland can use Glenn's cap room for next year if they want to make a run at a top free agent.

    New Starting Lineup:

    PG - Iverson
    SG - Iguodala
    SF - Korver
    PF - Abdur-Rahim
    C - Jackson

    Looks pretty good to me...

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Philadelphia and Toronto being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Even though we lose some cap room, I would do this thrade in a heartbeat, why not?

Philadelphia trades: SG Allen Iverson (25.5 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 7.7 apg in 41.5 minutes)
Philadelphia receives: Andre Barrett (No games yet played in 2004/05)
SG Bob Sura (5.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 4.0 apg in 29.0 minutes)
PG Charlie Ward (5.8 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 3.2 apg in 27.2 minutes)
PG Tyronn Lue (6.4 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 3.3 apg in 23.8 minutes)

Houston trades: Andre Barrett (No games yet played in 2004/05)
SG Bob Sura (5.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 4.0 apg in 29.0 minutes)
PG Charlie Ward (5.8 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 3.2 apg in 27.2 minutes)

Change in team outlook: +6.3 ppg, -8.5 rpg, and -3.8 apg.

    TRADE DECLINED

Due to Philadelphia and Houston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Philadelphia and Houston had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did not happen here (only Philadelphia met the condition). This trade does not satisfy the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I don't know any way how that trade would help the Sixers nor does it even work salery wise. If the Sixers trade Iverson (which isn't happening) they would need a superstar play of his caliber in return.

Not only that, but the Sixers would have to many players signed to there active roster. Then the Rockets would have to few I believe they would be running short on players so it wouldnt work.

ey courtking i think your trade is the best becaue the only position that the trailblazers will allow reef to play is the small forward and he doesnt seem to fit that position.

so i think glenn which is a sf can help them alot in that spot.

And philly really need someone to give keeny a rest. i think kenny might play better on the second string against bench players. i think that could also help his game to where as he would be calmer on the floor now knowing that the team is not asking as much from him.

you know with kenny coming off the bench they'll just want some solid play against opposing teams bench players, that kenny was previously giving the sixers before he started slumping.

That would give the Sixers this lineup:

    PG- Jason Kidd
    SG- Allen Iverson
    SF- Richard Jefferson
    PF- Corliss Williamson
    C- Samuel Dalembart

That would be awesome and you would dominate.

Because Skinner just signed with us this off season this trade could not go down until after the 15th of December, but this trade would give us a second option for AI. A AI and Spree back court with Iggy at the 3 and Korver off the bench imagine the possibilities... Spree is looking for cash though, and if the T Wolves dont want to give him that and want to save up for the off season with Glenn Robinsons contract ending after this year they would have some cap room and a good player who cant find minutes with us in Skinner.

And exactly why would they Nets do this? Giving us one of the top PG's in the league, along with one of the best SF's in the league for our garbage that we have been trying to trade forever.
