They have different strengths. Francis is a much better defender and rebounder. Marbury is a much better scorer and playmaker, who doesn't turnover the ball nearly as much.

I'd say that Marbury is more consistent and dependable, but Francis at his best is a better player because he does so many things on the court.

    Marbury.

Marbury passes and shoots the three

Francis passes (but not as much as Steph), and dunks, a dunk is a point less than a three. And yes, Francis shoots a three, but not as often as Steph. But then again, if i was down by one or tied with a second or less to go, Franchise would be my guy.

So if you need a player to build yourfrinchise around, beleive it or not, it wouldn't be "The franchise" Starbury is just to good. Maybe i'm just biased because i play exactly like him: Pass first, score second, and no matter what, break some ankles.

Francis by far. I think Marbury is your basic PG, good passing and leadership but really has very inconsistent scoring.

Stephon Marbury is the better point guard along with Oscar Robertson are the only players to average 20 and 8 for there careers. On the other hand Francis is the better overall player he is one of only 5 NBA players to average at least 20 PPG, 6 RPG, 6, APG. He has also won more head to head matchups when his team has faced Marbury's so if I am picking who would I take I would say Francis.

I'm going with Francis. He is clutch and he makes his whole team better. The Magic are also winning more than the Knicks are and Francis is a huge reason.

    Francis.

Simply better player, better defender, better rebounder, and most important of all, he wins more.
