<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MR_SAC_KING:</div><div class="quote_post">So I Take it that Derek Fisher was a waste to sign..Well i think someday down the road he will express his desire that he doesn't want to play for the Warriors.it's like when will this happen.unless the Warriors start to win sometime soon,Fisher will not be happy and it will show in his performances.</div> Well its not like he's helping us win or anything with the way he plays. A couple of the games he saw action in we had a chance to tie or were winning already and he just jacked up bricks like crazy without looking to pass first. The dude's shooting 35% or something, same as last year when he was with the lakers. We were better off with Nick Van Exel because at least he could make his shots even after missing 5 in a row. I thought Fisher was signed to provide off the court persona and leadership since Jason Richardson happens to be a pretty impressionable individual and NVE was whining a lot. That's why they probably kept on Cheaney too since he's a quiet professional with leadership abilities. Foyle is also a good locker room presence but I think he was signed more for political/reward purposes. i.e., we can go through a losing season for the 8 years you've been here and as long as you don't complain, then we'll take care of you. Foyle's never whined, he's always played hard, and although he lacks talent in areas not shotblocking he sets a good example of how to be professional. Too bad it doesn't equate to wins. He is horrible in the post and on post defense.

Probably what will happen is Fisher will be traded next year..that is if he starts to look good..but honestly Fisher just hasn't lived up to the expectations of this club as making the Warriors a better team.so i'm hoping something good will come out of this wheither it's trading him or if he performs for what he was expected to..keeping him.
Fisher is horrible. Yes he plays hard, pretty nice D and does not sulk but he's a jump shooter at a position that needs to create for others. When you have Kobe and Shaq, you can play Fisher but not on a team like the Warriors. Last night Fisher hit some clutch shots (the layin was a prayer) and made the block on Pierce but when the shot clock is winding down he throws up a prayer and cannot create a shot. Claxton is a better player that way. $37M for the next 6 years, ugh!!!
Lue? give me a break the guy can't hold down a starting job anywhere in the league. Too small to defend, but i love the idea of Steve Blake. he has good range and is similar to Heinrich in a lot of ways
