Wolf pitched seven strong innings and Russell Martin homered asthe Dodgers posted a 3-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers onTuesday, ending a four-game losing streak.

Wolf (6-3), who was born in nearby Canoga Park, signed with thehometown Dodgers after spending eight productive butinjury-plagued seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies.

The lefthander, who was the winning pitcher in Los Angeles' lastvictory over St. Louis on Wednesday, tied a season high bypitching seven frames, yielding two runs and three hits withthree walks and four strikeouts.

With the game tied at 1-1 in the fourth, Martin provided all theworking margin the Dodgers would need when he sent a pitch fromMilwaukee starter Ben Sheets (4-3) over the fence inleft-center for a two-run home run, giving Los Angeles a 3-1advantage.

Sheets surrendered three runs - two earned - and four hits witha walk and five strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings.

The Brewers cut the lead in half in the sixth as Johnny Estradadoubled to left to score Bill Hall and make it 3-2. Wolf gotKevin Mench to ground out three pitches later to end the inning.

Wolf returned for the seventh and needed only five pitches toget through the frame before turning the game over to JonathanBroxton, who struck out two in a perfect eighth. Takashi Saitoworked around a two-out single by Gabe Gross in the ninth topost his 14th save in as many chances, converting his 24thconsecutive save.

Prince Fielder had a hit and an RBI for the Brewers, who remainwinless in games in which they score fewer than three runs.
