S.Livingston14's Rankings Check umm out. This is what I am submitting into the rankings. 1. Kansas 2. Illinois 3. Georgia Tech 4. Wake Forest 5. UConn 6. UNC 7. Syracuse 8. Oklahoma State 9. Duke 10. Pittsburgh 11. Kentucky 12. Michigan State 13. Texas 14. Maryland 15. Louisville 16. North Carolina State 17. Arizona 18. Washington 19. Wisconsin 20. Mississippi State 21. Michigan 22. Alabama 23. Notre Dame 24. Memphis 25. Arkansas
Of course you're entitled to your own opinion, but I still have a few things to say - <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">10: Michigan State </div> I think thats too high for the Spartans. They lost to Duke and George Washington this week. That should drop them a lot more than to #10. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">25: Memphis Near Miss: Iowa</div> At the very least I'd flip-flop these two. Iowa has played three top 15 teams: Louisville, Texas, and North Carolina, and they beat two out of those three. Memphis played two top 15 teams: Syracuse and Maryland, and they were dealt the worst losses in school history, 11 point and 23 point losses. They also only beat Arkansas State, a team that's only been DI for a few years, by four points. And they were down for a good part of that game against Arkansas State. I just don't like having them in the rankings, none the less over a team that's beaten Texas and Louiville and who's only loss came to UNC. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">22: Notre Dame 23: Michigan</div> I realize that Michigan's record is worse than Notre Dames, but you have to realize that they've been without Lester Abram, their best player, for all of their losses. They played Notre Dame yesterday and beat theml, so how can you have them over them? I could understand that if an unranked team beat the #1 team then the next week you wouldn't have that unranked team over the #1 team, but when they're that close why not flip-flop them? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">4: Wake Forest 5: Syracuse</div> This is really arguable, but shouln't Cuse be over Wake Forest? They beat Mississippi State (your #20) and Memphis (your # 25). Wake Forest didn't just lose either, they got crushed. Syracuse still hasn't slipped. On paper the two teams seem pretty equal to me, but that one bad loss has to drop them at least behind Cuse imo. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">16: Washington </div> Yeah, they beat a good Alabama team but then they got smashed by Gonzaga. And we're also finding out that the Alabama team they beat isn't as great as everyone thought they were. They have no quality wins now and took triple overtime to pull a one point win over Charlotte. Again, I'm not trying to get you to change your rankings. I'm just pointing some things out for future reference.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">5. UConn 6. UNC 7. Syracuse</div> In my opinion, you have these teams all mixed up. North Carolina has a loss, and Connecticut/Cuse don't. I could understand ranking UNC over UConn because UConn doesn't have the quality wins that UNC has at this point. However, Cuse does have the same kind of quality wins that UNC has, and they haven't lost a game yet. Why would you rank them under both UConn and UNC?
Where's Florida? Yes, they lost to Miami, but was this enough to have themdrop out of the top 25. Michigan has 2 losses, Memphis has 2 losses. Notre Dame has 1 loss, and they are all better than Florida? I'm not convinced.
CUSA Fan's Rankings Well here we go...... 1.Illinois 2.Kansas 3.Georgia Tech 4.Syracuse 5.Wake Forest 6.Oklahoma State 7.UConn 8.Duke 9.North Carolina 10.Maryland 11.Kentucky 12.NC State 13.Pittsburgh 14.Michigan State 15.Texas 16.Louisville 17.Arizona 18.Mississippi State 19.Florida 20.Wisconsin(kind of iffy) 21.Michigan 22.Notre Dame 23.Alabama 24.Virginia 25.Iowa Theres my rankings. I think towards the end, its kind of iffy and I struggled to let me know. Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan and Florida were the iffy ones.

As for Michigan, they have 3 losses: Arizona (1 point in OT), Providence, and Georgia Tech. However, keep in mind that their best player and team leader, Lester Abram, was injured for every one of those game. When he came back yesterday they beat Notre Dame. I think you just have to look past their losses when ranking them. Michigan without Abram is kind of like Louisville without Garcia and Dean. As for Notre Dame, I think they're much better than Florida, but that's really arguable.
I personally like most of your rankings. I'd have Michigan State lower and Wisconsin/Iowa higher, but that's something that's my pesonal opinion. There's no obvious bad picks.
Oh, I didn't even realize Michigan has 3 losses. As you pointed out, they are without Abram, so Horton is stuck with the PG duty. There losses could be blamed on that, but they are still losses. They have lost to good teams, however.

I don't know why some of you guys are rating Washington over Gonzaga, Gonzaga beat UW and the Zags' only loss was to one of the best teams if not <u>the</u> best team in the nation (Illinois). 1. They beat Texas and Louisville, and their only loss came to a top 10 team in UNC. Yet you have them #23 and Texas and Louisville way ahead of them. Thanks for the heads up though, I didn't even think about that. I'm changing my rankings.
