Thank God that is from the mouth of Vescey and not a credible source. That clown makes up his column on the fly.
I don't know what you guys are talking about. Vecsey is such a good journalist that he does not even need to spell the players' names right. Peter, the guy's name is spelled "Mickael."

I won't start to worry until it's been confirmed by Sam Smith and Skip Bayless agrees... The Michael Pietrus thing is pretty funny.

Pietrus is so exciting, and he is good on both ends of the court, very important if you want a real leader. Man I just wish they would have waited on jrich at least. Jeez Mullin if you ever trade Pietrus and either get back a combo guard with no pg skills and a oversized version of Adonal Foyle, there is no hope for getting your brains back unless you drink a ton of ex-slax. But hey this is the warriors, king of mind-boggling moves and giving up our most exciting players. It's why I refuse to damn change my avatars and my screen names because I'm sick of doing it every year.
Pietrus would only get traded to get rid of Fisher or Foyle's deal. But I believe Pietrus is worth keeping on. If only we could trick some GM into thinking Dunleavy will breakout and have them take Fisher/Foyle with him.
That would just be retarded as well. Why trade your best rookie to remove a deal that could have been avoided in the first place. I say play Dunleavy and get him hot and them move him out with the Fisher contract. We make a trade with the rockets and give them a pg (needed), Dunleavy (small forward needed to replace Jackson's shoot first mentality), and Foyle. We get Mutombo or Juwon Howard, Charlie Ward or Tryonn Lue whoever makes the contract work. I want to get Howard though since he has the back to the basket game. He's the best we could probably do (another tweener), then we get a 7'3 center (who is aging and probably washed up), and hopefully Lue who is a speedy pg great in the open court. I think the contracts we get are actually a bit shorter so we put up with these guys for maybe a couple years, enough to resign Pietrus.
Mutumbo is like 40. Why get a guy who used to be great and not get one of the young and talented players that are not declining like Howard who still contribiutes well to teams.

I wonder if his dad ever calls him to tell him he sucks I got him on a few of my fantasy teams because I was thinking Mussleman was holding him back, and now with him gone the guy should put up 17-5-4 or something like that, and he's playing worse than last season. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If only we could trick some GM into thinking Dunleavy will breakout and have them take Fisher/Foyle with him.</div> New York?

I think the reason why the Rox would do it is because the guy is washed up and they need a center that they can use to run in the open court. Yao is not going to last 30 minutes up and down the court if they play at Tyronn Lue, T-mac, and Juwon Howard's pace. We're not giving up Dale Davis though until we get more out of the Rockets. I think our expiring contracts are more valuable than anything the Rox would throw our way.

New York?</div> Heh, I never had faith in him because his outside J was alwayslacking and we need players to make up for his and Richardon's lousy defense. He looked good yesterday though with that behind the back dribble and now should be the time to get people all hyped up about him again. Richardson is an average defender now, but he gets lazy at times so what do you think happens when you get Dunleavy who is as just as lazy and too slow to cover the court... I'd rather have Pietrus or some aggressive player out on the court with Jrich that isn't afraid to shoot since Jrich likes to pass alot. We've always whined about not having a go-to scorer, Pietrus looks like he could be the real deal since he can create his own shot at will in the few minutes he his out there. This guy is something special. BTW we should hold onto Richardson too unless he plateus or something or trade him for a true small forward in two years. But yeah that would be my lineup: Richardson at the 2, Pietrus at the 3; Use Pietrus at point guard at times and have Sesay or Najera fill in the 3 or the 4. Play tough defense and start running. Go to the half court track when we have guys like Cheaney and Robinson in there or Murphy. Murph is pretty good in the open court as well since he can run and move without the ball pretty well (just not in traffic).
But if Pietrus did get traded these are some things that would happen to him , (just imagine they are angry) , , and That trade (no matter who we get unless it's a superstar) would suck
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kwan1031:</div><div class="quote_post">Thanks for a good laugh. If Mullin values his life, I am sure he won't make that deal...</div> That's funny He'll be the next to get booed in the arena if he does. Mully would have to hide out with Chris Cohan from then on. The one ounce of hope lies in Pietrus because he is the one that seems to make the most visible difference out on the court when all else fails. And if his scoring isn't on, he won't shoot it, he'll play his aggressive defense. That's what I like about players like him in that he changes the game and makes people better. The W's time and time again just do not recognize this.
