<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> ATLANTA, Dec. 3 -- With each win this season, the Washington Wizards seem intent on separating themselves from the sluggish play and unmet expectations that have trailed the team through the years. This was the case Friday night against the Atlanta Hawks, as the Wizards walked off with a 114-90 victory, their sixth in the last seven games, and with a burgeoning sense that this season may contain a rich promise. </div> I dont know if they are making winning look easy, as they have destroyed 3 weak teams, but I think they are moving in the right step. Most definitely they are going in the right direction. This is their best start in 30 years. They are ahead of Miami with second place in the new tough Southeast division. They are in second place in the slow starting East. They hve really started to play mediocre team defense, instead of horrible D. If they can work on their off ball defense they will only contine to get better. My main man is becoming a team leader.
Their defense is actually pretty good, once Etan gets back and Kwame gets full health their D will be even better, I am really surprised by Hughes' D this year, he leads the NBA in steals per game.
I do not think they are making winning look eays I mean there win yesterday against chicago was down to the wire, but they are having a very good season. It is do to many factors like Hughs who is having a huge season he has had a triple double and had 7 steals yesterday. Arenas is really showing he can lead, and Jamison is just performing like Jamison. I think that they would be better off in having Brown come off the bench his first few games back to make him earn his spot back. It may motivate him to finally play like a first overall pick.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">Amazing what happens when Gilbert Arenas stays heathly uh.</div> WEll I think it is a combination of a lot of things, mainly Hughes superb Defense and his ability to be clutch in the 4th quarter. Arenas staying healthy is also a big thing for us too, I think the overall mentality of this team is they are sick of being the laughingstock and I think they now have the right pieces to be a top 5 playoff team in the East. They were really overlooked this year, and I have been saying this since they acquired Jamison, Dont overlook the Wizards this year, especially if Kwame Brown can perform at a level which he is expected to. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Pure Skillz:</div><div class="quote_post">I do not think they are making winning look eays I mean there win yesterday against chicago was down to the wire, but they are having a very good season. He won that game for us all by himself. Kwame is slowly being worked back into the rotation and I think once he feels he can start, he should...Jared Jeffries is just horrible for us, we can move Antawn back down to the 3, Kwame at the 4 and place Jared on the bench.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">Amazing what happens when Gilbert Arenas stays heathly uh.</div> Not just that, also not having 3 perimeter players who need the ball in their hands, and not even that, having your main players actually playing together since Gil, Hughes and Stack were hardly ever on the floor together last season. The perimeter defense is still weak with Arenas still not playing that good defense, and Jamison is not much of a defender either, but Hughes is playing great defense, did a great job on many players [RJ was one], is forcing turnovers, and the interior defense will be great with Haywood, Kwame when he get's back in the rotation, and Etan when he returns.
