Yeah, this is hilarious. I might have to stay up and watch the rest of this game.

C's look alright so far. Jiri looks like he might have a big game. He's due for one.

remember when just Tommy and Cousy used to do the away games? highest of high comedy. But I like Max on TV, he's better suited for it than radio, where he sounds like he's trying to rush to get his thoughts out.

That was a depressing loss. Payton was chucking up too many shots in the first quarter, I thought. I know its his hometown team, but he should have set the team up better and tried to get more of a lead. Good thing he backed off as the game progressed. But what was that play with 4 seconds left... jees man, at least get a shot off!! Also, Ricky, after a while, you just have to know that its not your night and you should look to pass. What did he end up, 2 of 13?

Actually, Cornbread did the Play by Play tonight, taking over for the ill Mike Gorman, Tommy does Color.

We shot ourselves in the foot tonight on several occasions and could have easily won this game. Part of the growing experience, I suppose.

    Better, but still not Enough

"Now, the first half was an interesting mix of speeds and styles. Both teams playing oddly similar games: uptempo when it was there, but not pressing the issue too much. It seemed a much more comfortable tempo of play than last night first half, although admittedly not as entertaining (although given the eventual results of last nights game, one would be hesitant to yearn for that kind of start again).

The passing was good and everyone got into it. Jir Welsch(24 pts) and Gary Payton(12, 11) were more active tonight early in the game. GP's resurgence likely due to last years confrontation with Speedy Claxton, who was once again matched up against him. GP went right at him, shooting more than usual and looking a little more like the GP many expected him to play like when he reported to Boston."

I think Tommy was suppossed to be doing the play by play for Gorman, since he used to do it on away games back in the day. But, in reality, you couldn't tell which was doing which, they both just sort of talked.
I hope Gorman is ok for Saturday's game.

Man I feel for you guys. Pierce is a special player who made a tough banker with about 30 secs left but the C's took some bad shots down the stretch, Pierce a 3 and Banks a 3. You had Pierce getting hot going to the bucket and Welsch hot but instead settled for those bombs.

    Payton played very well.

Team looked young and raw. Fun game though, thanks for bringing the running game to the hometown.

Yeah, Tommy normally does color. But last night he was attempting to do the play-by-play. I don't know how you could think that Max was doing the play-by-play. I don't think he even chimed in once until the play was over.

I got the GS announcers with the broadcast. They said that's how it was supposedly being done. Sorry

Yeah, they're getting there. They haven't quite got the running game going yet, but its improving. If Gary stays past the trading deadline, they could really get rolling and learn to close out these close games as they head down the stretch.
