Now of course their's been team problems, but having the hardest schedule of the first 2 months definately does not help. 2 things came come out of it: 1) We have a surge in the end and win a large amount of games 2) We breakdown later in the season because players are frustrated, and don't take advantage of our slightly easier schedule I'm scared of the latter happening... Let me show you: 13 of our first 19 games have been on the road 10 of our first 11 games were against the West, and our Eastern game was against the Pistons We had a 6 game road trip, and are currently in another 6 game road trip We've had 7 sets of back to backs in our first 19 games. Road - Bold Back to Back - Red Houston W Detroit W Portland W @ Sacramento L @ Utah W [B2B] @ Seattle L @ Portland L [B2B] @ L.A. Clippers L @ Denver L [B2B] Seattle L San Antonio W @ Washington L New York W [B2B] @ New York L Washington L [B2B] @ Miami W @ Orlando [B2B] @ Boston L @ Cleveland L [B2B] @ New Jersey L Our Remaining December Games: @ Detroit Denver Miami Minnesotta @ Indiana New Jersey @ Houston [B2B] Utah @ Phoenix @ LA Lakers @ Golden State [B2B] So for the first 2 months we'd have 19 of our 30 games on the road 17 of the 30 games against the West 9 sets of back to backs ...and our easiest games are 2 against New Jersey, except we had to have them right when Kidd came back , and the game against the Warriors Indiana on the norm would be a hard game, and still isn't a pushover game as the Pacers still have a decent roster, and who knows who'll be back in time to play the Raptors Where's the Atlanta? Where's the Charlotte? Where's the Chicago? Where's the New Orleans?
ya this really sucks, who made this schedule anyways? i believe we also played the most games in the nba with all of those b2b's. but it doesnt even get easier, we have to face all these good teams like detroit, minny, miami, houston, pheonix, and LA?! seriously, this is a brutal sched.
Every team plays every team so how can you say it's a ridiculous schedule? The Raptors' failure is inexcusable. Tell me when the Raptors play 100 games instead of 82 or if they play 82 road games instead of 41 road games and then you'll have a legitimate case.
Obviously everyone plays every team, but it's how you play every team, who said it's an excuse, we've sucked, I'm saying it doesn't help that our early season schedule is also bad. If you play your games as a game a day of rest and a game, and have a few 3 games road trips here and there no one would consider that hard. If you haven't realized it yet, getting off to a good start is a thing many veteran players stress, and their's a reason for that, when you start out good it gives the team confindence, and strengthens the team chemistry. When things are bad is when problems arise, people question coaches and other players, and unless your team can stay together, when you get to the easy part of your schedule later on, some players would've given up, and their just won't be the same drive to play hard anymore. If you can't grasp that well then....their's not much else I can say

Our guys were happy when we started the season...a few good wins...but look what happened after that! No doubt its also because we havent been playing the same...but the sched doesnt help. hardest schedule that i've ever heard of in the history of the nba

He's listing the reasons it's a horrible schedule...too many away games, too many back to backs and we're facing most of the West teams early in the season. It will eventually get easier which I think is great for the future but right now it's extremely difficult to win games. And some of the games we are capable of winning, we get unlucky or things don't go our way and we lose them as well. What goes around comes around, our luck will change in due time.
Quote:

Our Remaining December Games: @ Detroit Denver Miami Minnesotta @ Indiana New Jersey @ Houston [B2B] Utah @ Phoenix @ LA Lakers @ Golden State [B2B]
That is brutal. Not one of those teams are easy to defeat. Except maybe Golden State but even they can be tough at times. New Jersey might surge now that Kidd is back so I don't want to underestimate them either because it won't be an easy win.
well if the raps can just stay around .500 after this brutal schedule...we can make a push into the playoffs against when we have the easier schedule.... i haven't seen the entire schedule yet but after the bitter...theres got to be something easy
Good luck. If you guys loose Vince and Jalen Rose anytime soon, then you're in for some trouble. Cause if the Portland Deal goes through, SAR and NVE can't really replace Vince and Rose very easily.
