Sprewell is being investigated by the NBA for calling a female heckler in L.A. a "sexually vulgar term."

It was caught by a courtside mic and broadcast on both the L.A. and Minny broadcasts of the game.

Anybody hear what he called her?

Nope. My goodness.....Well if they got it on a recording, might as well just give him his suspension and close the case.

I heard it, I was watching the game and he said: "Suck My D*ck..." and it looked like he spit at her, I was really kind of shocked, it was in overtime, he made a shot, came down court a Clipper was fouled and the camera zoomed in on Spree and it was clearly audible what he said...

How much longer will Spree be in a Minnesota jersey? He complained about the extension, complained about the organization and his role on the team, and now this...

There goes a key player on my fantasy team, and probably the Timberwolves' championship contention.

Yeah, Spree was getting into it with fans. But thats nothing new for Sprewell, he did it with the Knicks. He got into it with Denver fans last year in the playoffs, this is light. And definately not going to effect the Wolves championship hopes. He will probably miss a few games, not a serious amount tho..nothing even closed to being compared to what anybody got in the Pistons/Pacers vs fans BS. He might get 5 games, if that. One or two games probably. And the Wolves can survive with Sprewell out for a bit. It just means Trenton Hassell moves back into the starting lineup, who is more than capable. And Fred Hoiberg gets a little more playing time then in recent games. But the Wolves will be fine.

I know the players have to work and hold a higher regards because they are professionals, but damn can we go a week without a "fan" doing something and crying if there are ramifications? I heard what he said, but other players cuss more and worse....where are the psychologist-hugging please-don't-yell I-made-a-boom-boom fans then? It gets ridiculous.

    Suspended - One game

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> NEW YORK (AP) -- Latrell Sprewell was suspended for one game by the NBA on Tuesday for yelling a sexual vulgarity at a female fan during a game, the latest episode of a player clashing with spectators.

The penalty was harsher than those issued in the past by the league office for on-court outbursts. The NBA has been particularly concerned about conflicts between players and fans following a nasty brawl in Detroit 2 1/2 weeks ago that spilled into the stands.

Sprewell responded to a female heckler with a sexually vulgar term that was clearly picked up by a courtside microphone and broadcast by television stations KTLA in Los Angeles and KSTC in Minnesota. </div>
