NBA All-Star game 2006 I cant believe they are allready thinking about this. its official that all star game 2006 is in Houston. I think that they should at least wait untill the allstar game is over. what do you think about this. bye the way, how do they choose where the all star game is going to be played?
Yeah good question. DO they randomly pick???? I would love to have an all star game in NJ or NY so I can drive and go
I thought should be one year East and one year West, it sounds fair. Btw, hope somebody who knows how the all star location is chosen will tell us here
That`s cool it`s going to be in Houston. I remember in when it was here in Philly. The Slam Session or something was VERY cool.

A big gathering in NY could be too much attention to terrorists and there would also have to be way too much security than any other city.
^ If terrorists want to do something, LA is no different that NY. As a matter of fact, NY now is the last place for terror actions to occur, because the people who protect the city are being overprotective after what happened in 2001.

IT is not randomly picked, and this is no where close to early. The process of picking a host city for the all star game starts witht he city itself, rather, the organization, putting together a bid, doing some money. The NBA then sends some comitee or something and judges which city would be best. 1 season before isn't that big. I mean, the Olympics are chosen two gamesin advance.
