<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">By all accounts, his own included, Allan Houston has everything he needs to make his season debut Tuesday night. His jump shot is there, his health is sound and his stamina is good enough.

But Houston will not be in uniform because he is missing the one thing he needs the most: the approval of his boss.

Isiah Thomas, the Knicks' president, has ordered Houston to wait at least a few more days.

The team expects that Houston will not play until Friday, in Washington, at the earliest, although pegging a date is proving futile for everyone involved.

"I could play right now," Houston said Monday afternoon, after participating in his second full-court scrimmage. "</div>

I'm getting impatient! I dont see what the hold up is. If H20 says he's ready then he's ready. Penny is going to be out for a while and now instead of bring in Houston to play his minutes(which would have been perfect, gave him sometime to play and get back into shape at the same time not giving him too big of a role)we're going to bring in Norris. I have a bad feeling about tonight's game. I want Houston back! By the way, I read somewhere that the Raptors might take Houston and Penny for Rose and Carter. That doesnt make sense to me. Maybe TT and Houston for Rose and Carter?

There has to be more to this story. Isiah is very hands on Gm. And he goes to practices & shoot arounds. He probably seen something from Houston's movements or lift in his game that says he isnt completely ready. And its best for him to sit out a few more games. And get a few more practices under his belt. Allan Houston is going to say he is ready to go even if he isnt, mainly because he feels the pressure of Crawford in front of him. But Zeke is just looking out for the best for him as well as the team. Allan Houston jumped back into the mix of things to quickly last season. And ended up on IR for the 2nd half of the year & his jumpshot was definately missed in the playoff series against the Jersey. So Zeke naturally is going to be very slow in getting Houston back as they look to preserve him, so he can last the entire year. Or at least he can be strong enuff to make him suitable trade bait.

It could be the case that publicly Houston is saying he's ready, but in private he's saying that he's still a little sore.
