Los Angeles Clippers forward Elton Brand has been suspended one game without pay for a flagrant foul, penalty two and for pushing Charlotte?s Emeka Okafor in the face, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President Basketball Operations. The incident occurred with 3:28 remaining in the Clippers? 99-93 win over the Bobcats on Dec. 6 at the STAPLES Center. Brand will serve his suspension in the Clippers next game, Dec. 11 vs. the Los Angeles Lakers at STAPLES Center.
Dang, everyone is getting in trouble during the last few minutes of the games. No one beats Ben Wallace's push to the face against Artest though.
Wow, this is crazy I didnt see it, but...the league is getting carried away, yea I understand they have to because of what happened in Detroit, but come on..the players show emotion on the court all the time, these suspensions wont stop it..
Man, how can you suspend him for the game against the Lakers, stupidness...I saw the foul, Emeka was crowding him while they were fighting for a rebound, and he turned and pushed him in the face, sucks.
Frustration... Brand's really a nice guy and a gentle giant. It's pretty uncharacteristic for him to do what he did, but I'm sure it was pure frustration and he didn't try to start a fight w/ nobody.
