Man... all I ask is for the W's to start winning games and making the post season so we wouldn't have to be desperate to overpay veterans. It seems the only thing the Warriors are good for is get the Brian Cardinals, the Ansu Sesays, and Earl Boykins players career going and big money for the offseason from other teams.

I love Pietrus, but if Kidd and Mourning are healthy, really, that is the only player we lose. Custodian always says you need a center and a pg to build a team around. Well you got that. Now what? Jrich will be RJ West. I think with just Kidd alone, we could turn the season around. How much longer is Kidd and Mournings contracts for? How is Zo doing so far this season?

The biggest risk of course is health and of course flexibility to make trades after we take on both of those large contracts. If one or the other turns out like Grant Hill and is starting to decline with age, we may be screwed big time. That is the argument Mullin has to press forth to the Nets in that other teams may not be willing to undo their roster to make a run at Kidd, especially since he's picky about where he plays. If we move forward on this, we'll have some legitmacy in the nba I think. At least for a few years. After being held under water for so long, I think fans deserve a fresh of breath air after we're pulled under the water again. I'll take the daring. We'll accomplish nothing down the road three years from now or thereafter anyway. Not without a solid glue guy. I think Kidd could be it.

Forget Kidd trade. Kidd just said that he won't report to Portland if he is being traded to there. If he doesn't think Portland is a contender, there is zero way that he will see us that way...

Well, there are exceptions... Kidd is a native of the bay area and maybe the motivation wouldn't be to win a ring, but to give bay area basketball fans something to be proud of. A ring isn't guaranteed anyway and at least he'll enjoy playing in front of friends, family, and be responsible for helping turn a franchise around. I believe he could do that.

Kidd might have relented before the season, but now that the Warriors have played a bit, his interest might have waned. Before the season, we were considered "just missing a few pieces" but as you can see we're in a pretty bad disarray.

The missing peice is a real center. We might get that in Mourning but he's old and gets injured a lot.

If the W's convinced Rudy T to coach the Warriors, you think that would be enough to convince Yao to demand a trade to the Warriors if the Rockets ever self destruct?

That would be cool. Yao and Rudy T on the same team with a killer PF and bench player.

We'll see if the Lakers can pull that off in 2006. If I were the Lakers I'd also draft his favorite teammate from the Chinese National Team if I wanted him that badly. I think Yao would be tough to build around, because you need a bomb power forward like you mentioned, and a lot of good bench players to handle the strain of minutes. Being 7'6, 300 lbs, with no offseason to rest must be tough.

Yeah. Just like me. I get a month tops to rest a year.
