The Last several games that the Kings have been playing, our Defense has simply looked great, granted that our teams have played against medicore teams as of late...but anyways i just have liked the way we have been defending right now. I Certainly hope this is a sign of what is to come for the Kings this season.hopefully this is a start of a trend here for the Kings. But what do we feel on how our Defense has been playing?..is this a sign of what will come to us or is is pure luck??
The Kings already got the offense. If they can play some tough D they can win a lot more games and go far in the playoffs.

What i was saying was, that our Defense has improved over the last several games.i was stating my opinon on the whole situation of it all. I'm just curious to see if anyone else has the same opinon that i do or not.
I think part of it is the competition the kings have faced in the past few games.Havent played many quality teams lately. The defense is improved though, not giving up alot of uncontested shots.I just wish they would start rebounding the ball.

After watching the game last night against Charlotte, and especially watching the game a couple of weeks back in Los Angeles against the Lakers, I think that the Kings have really stepped up the defense lately. The biggest improvement that I have seen (in my opinon) has been the on-the-ball defense of Peja Stojakovic. He has really stepped it up on the defensive end of the floor. He is no longer a danger on the defensive end and has done a great job so far this season against some of the best 3's in the league. Another contributing factor to the Kings improved defense has been the hustle of Matt Barnes. He has really impressed my so far this season by his defensive play. To me, he is more valueable to the Kings on the defensive end of the floor. He has been able to replace D.C. or Peja and still not have a letdown on D. In the past, once Christie used to sit down, teams used to go on runs on the Kings but that doesn't seem to be the case so far this year. Another big factor that has helped the Kings so far this year has been the return of Bobby Jackson. Jackson has provided a great stopper against some of the better point guards in the league and his instant offence has been a bonus. By the way that the Kings are playing this year, it seems to me that THIS is the year in which the Kings have a great chance to win the NBA Title. They have the best starting 5 in the league and even though they are not as deep as they once were, they have better role players (Songalia; Post offence, Barnes; hustle on defense, Ostertag; toughness down low and Jackson; best 6th man in the NBA). To me, this looks like the best chance for the Kings to win the NBA Championship since 2002 IF THEY CAN STAY HEALTHY!!!!! It all depends on that.
I gotta agree with sactomofo Stojakovic has really stepped up on the defensive end this year. as of late, everyone is scrambling for rebounds & just generally playing smarter on the defensive end. Barns has been really good in the time he has gotten with grabbing rebounds & just plain bringing a lot of energy off the bench. the defense was the one thing that is going to kill this team.... if they can keep playing the solid team defense they have been, things could go very well for them in the post season.
Peja has definetly stepped up to the plate so to speak on Defense, along with Songolia and others. Certainly the Defense or lack of it has been the key issue in why we haven't gone farther than what we could have done in the past, but i haven't seen our Defense look this sharp in such a long time that i actually thought i might have been seeing a mirage here.LOL Anyways,if the Defense keeps on doing what it has been doing this year so far, than things look very bright for the Kings.
