<div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">Orlando can attack the basket too though, so we better not tire out.</div>

We've had 3 days rest and they can't use the tired excuse today. Rebounding will be a problem because Cliff is starting but I think we can win if we do the following.

-Contest all shots and spread the floor on defense instead of clumping near the paint.

-Play a fast tempo offense. When we do get in the halfcourt move the ball around.

-Play Murphy 30-35 mins. He gets tired kind of quickly and now that we're running we can't have him fatigued all the time.

-Play Pietrus 20 minutes. He is a spark defensively and creates turnovers. If the game slows down and he uses his first step, I don't think there is anyone who can keep up with him.

The most frustrating thing is that I know this team can beat good ball clubs. We're essentially the same team as last year and you can see our players are working hard. I say victory tonight.

Murphy can hopefully get a good amount of time. He should go inside or do the perimeter. Mickael, just be himself

These guys aren't getting any rebounds and they've been playing sloppy. Too many turnovers.

Warriors found another way to lose a close game. Same old story. Oh yea, JRich missed another key free throw.

That dude needs to take lessons from Baron Davis on how to improve at the foul line, otherwise he is NOT a go-to guy. The go to guy can't miss crucial stuff like that. Those should be easy points... especially in your own arena where they are not waving pom poms and trying to make you miss.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting openglfx:</div><div class="quote_post">Same ol sh1t, the refs blow yet another call.</div>I hate to blame a game on the refs, but they were straight up afwul this game. These were the three best people on the floor for Orlando tonight:

    1. Francis
    2. #24, the referee who blew most of the calls, including the JR continuation and the JR "over the back" [IMG]
    3. Battie

With Orlando's entire frontcourt out, except for Howard who looked good but did not do too much, this was a game that the W's needed to win, too bad they left it slip away.

Positives: They seem to have figured out (for the mean time) how to score in the first quarter. Pietrus looks healthy. Dunleavy looks great, hopefully he has figured out how to be useful. [IMG]

Sounds like everyone in this game contributed to the loss...

In a back-and-forth final quarter, Jason Richardson hit back-to-back jumpers to even the score, 105-105, with two minutes to play...

The Warriors had a chance to take the lead on their next possession, but Mike Dunleavy Jr. missed a 3-pointer.

After two more free throws by Augmon, Richardson hit a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 109-108 with 31 seconds left...

...but Dunleavy inexplicably fouled Francis with 22.5 seconds remaining, when it appeared the Warriors wanted to play defense

Warriors coach Mike Montgomery said. "That was my fault for not being clear at communicating"...

Richardson, scored 11 of his 27 points in the final period...

Francis stole Troy Murphy's pass with 12 seconds remaining to seal the victory...

It seems there is hardly a good ref. Amuter and pro.

I mean, yes winning a game takes skill and committment. But, if you guys look at the pass 4 games or so, I think the Warriors need a little luck. They've lost many games based on blown calls by the refs. They need some luck on their side.

They also simply need to hit their free throws. Jeez. 73% from the foul line as a team isn't very good. A good team will at least hit 80% as a team.

Each time they miss two in a row during practice. Run. Then shoot a hundred. But if they expect to win, yeah they got to work on their free throws bigtime.

73% isn't a bad percentage for the Warriors from the foul line. They need better execution in the final minutes to win games, something they haven't been able to accomplish.

To win games, they have to make their free throws. That's why we lost to Orlando

That is one reason we lost. We also lost due to a lack of execution. Dunleavy fouling when he shouldn't have is a lack of execution.

73% foul shooting is not bad at all. 80% is asking for it. Coach Monty blew the play, we didnt execute. Damn refs. Murph was hampered with a swollen thumb. He was overall ineffective. That was the difference. If it was normal Murph, we'd destroy the Magic easy.
