I know we are in transition, but there is just a lack of talent around Kobe that is so noticeable. To say the Lakers are improving is a joke, within the next month there is a great possibility they will go under .500 and look like they are headed to the lottery. If management doesn't fork up for Kidd or Jalen Rose to give this team a lift, then I say start setting the team up for next year. Make Kobe the point, the way magic used to play it, Caron Butler shooting guard, Luke Walton at small forward, Cooke and Odom at power forward, Mihm center. Play these guys 40 minutes to get them used to each other and get Vujacic more minutes-he is the future. The rest of the team are CBA at best or damaged veterans and will not contribute in the future-bench em. I am willing to write this year off and work for next year.
Well, I'm not going to go that far as to tanking the season. However, I had to be optimistic in this writing, so when it seems like I may have been a little too positive, just remember that it was my job to do that.
