Sorry but I'm a Sonic noobie and I was wonddering what is making the mso good this year. THe only real big off season move was the loss of Brent Barry and that's not good at all. I mean they eat the Spurs last night and the Spurs were undefeated at home.

So in general what is different for the Sonics from last year that is making them championship contenders all of a suddenn?

    Luke Ridnour, and rebounding.

Last season we had the shooters to spread the floor, but we probably the worst rebounding team in the NBA. Adding Fortson and Collison to Evans means our rebounding (particularly on the offensive end) isn't giving opposition second chances, which was a big problem last season, and means all our shooters get a lot of second chances offensively. And you don't want to give someone like Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis or Vlad Radmanovic two shots on one possession.
