    T-maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaac

Did anybody see the Spurs-Rockets game? Oh my lord. That was one of the most entertaining finishes I've EVER seen!!! T-mac scores 13 points in 35 seconds. WOW. I wish I'd recorded that.

Anyone who's been following the Rockets this year know that Tracy has been clutch all year. Didn't he hit the game winner in the last game too? And he hit a bunch of clutch shots in a losing effort against Dallas. This performance isn't a total aberration. Yeah, we had a lot of luck on our side, but the only mistake San Antonio made down the stretch was fouling McGrady on one play and Devin Brown turning the ball over. They were hitting their free throws, and forcing McGrady to take VERY tough shots. He just nailed them, because he's damn good.

The Spurs outplayed the Rockets as a team, no question. But McGrady's individual brilliance and talent shined through in the end and was enough to overcome the Spurs. Hopefully the Rockets can use this as a catupult for their season and give them some more confidence.

Agreed. McGrady was awesome, took advantage of the situation perfectly. The shots were falling for him.

Disagree with putting any blame on Bowen, or even Devin for the turnover. While it was a bad play, the rockets could have actually won by at least a few more points if Devin didn't step up in the game. The Spurs let themselves get busted up. Maybe the close score doesn't reflect it as well as it could have. The Spurs played a bad game from the start. I was shaking my head throughout the game. I hope they got an ear and a half full from Pop.

I just realized something that nobody else has mentioned (at least not that I've seen).

McGrady not only blasted the Spurs down the stretch for the most clutch performance in the history of the league over the course of a minute, but chances are he did it injured.

People might have forgotten this in all the excitement but Tracy was forced to leave to the locker room late in the game for what looked like an abdominal injury. This might have made his efforts even that much more special...if that's even possible.

I thought I was recording the whole game on my computer, but for some reason it didn't record the final 3 minutes of the game!! I was so pissed, I deleted the whole damn thing.

Well, it's not quite as dramatic as Isiah scoring 25 in a quarter in Finals on one leg, but yeah it did look like he got a stomach cramp in the 4th quarter. I don't think it really bothered him when he came back, though.

I think they announced that McGrady was just having stomach cramps and that he and the trainer streched it, and he was fine? I'm not trying to say that he wasn't "hurting" as I'm sure it could of hurt a lot, but I don't think it's what one could call "playing injured"

Not an overall great Game for Houston, but what a finisher. I think that could be a record for most points within 40 seconds?

I was on one of those HP Media Center PCs. I usually record Rockets games just in case some special happens. I had recorded the Rockets-Mavs game, and the would have been an amazing game to add to the collection. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. [IMG]

You know what else is amazing about those 4 three pointers in under 40 seconds? Up to that point, McGrady was 1 for 7 on three pointers. The previous game, he was 1 for 8. The game before that, he was 1 for 9. That's 3 for 24 on 3s since his outburst against the Mavs. And yet, somehow, he hits 4 in a row in under 40 seconds, right when we needed it. Amazing.

None of those shots looked like they were gonna go in but they all did 4 times in a row.
But the best part about this game was Craig Sager asking Popovich how did T-Mac get hot? Hahaha hell I don't know he got hot. How did he get hot. [IMG] [IMG]

Let's also not forget the clutch inbounds steal and dunk by Scott Padgett with like a minute left. I think that really gave McGrady the confidence to take it to the next level.

JVG, let that be a reminder to keep Mo Taylor OFF the freaking court and use Padgett instead. We've won these past three games despite Mo Taylor, not because of him.

The Rockets did get help. No, I'm not trying to say it was "lucky." Not at all. They played the better game. Though I don't think that's saying much, as I saw some really sloppy plays on both sides of the court.

However, call it what you will, the Spurs lack of intensity the entire game, and the fall apart on their own accord in the last 45 secs did "help" the Rockets, undoubtly. Rockets deserved the win, McGrady deserves a lot of props. Whatever way you wanna cut it. As much as I hate a loss like this for the Spurs, it made for a really "off your seat" exciting game ender we will all remember didn't it?
