I seen a lot of the other forums have this kind of thing, so why not have one here in the Heat forum? Reasonable trades please lol, nothing like Eddie Jones for LeBron JAmes http://www1.realgm.com/src_tradechecker.php Its a trade checking thing that checks if the trades work. My Trade Miami trades: PF Malik Allen (7.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.8 apg in 20.2 minutes) SG Eddie Jones (10.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.5 apg in 32.8 minutes) Miami receives: SF Shane Battier (7.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.1 apg in 28.2 minutes) SF James Posey (6.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.9 apg in 22.6 minutes) C Lorenzen Wright (6.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.4 apg in 24.9 minutes) Change in team outlook: +3.1 ppg, +5.2 rpg, and +0.1 apg. Memphis trades: SF Shane Battier (7.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.1 apg in 28.2 minutes) SF James Posey (6.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.9 apg in 22.6 minutes) C Lorenzen Wright (6.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.4 apg in 24.9 minutes) Memphis receives: PF Malik Allen (7.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.8 apg in 20.2 minutes) SG Eddie Jones (10.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.5 apg in 32.8 minutes) Change in team outlook: -3.1 ppg, -5.2 rpg, and -0.1 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED James Posey gives us a good defender and Shane and Lorenzen gives us 2 good bench players.
It would be hard to do a trade ATM with EJ in a slump and Malik Allen injured. We have to wait and showcase the goods before we can get anything that will help us in return.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 02civic:</div><div class="quote_post">memphis would never do it...so its moot</div> Well do you have a trade propasal thats better? No you do not.
That is a terrible trade for Memphis, there is no way Jerry West would do that. That trade checker program is poorly made if it accepted that trade, lol. It's a great trade for us and i'd do it in a second, but there is no chance Memphis would accept it.
Every trade shoudl have Eddie Jones in it... He's playing horrible. He's not aggressive, isn't playing good d, isn't finishing, isn't making his shots at all. He shouldn't even start with his performance.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With players signed in the offseason ineligible to be dealt before Dec. 15, Wednesday marks the first day the Heat could even consider trading Rasual Butler, Michael Doleac, Keyon Dooling, Damon Jones, Christian Laettner, Wesley Person or Dorell Wright. ... </div> That's from the sun-sentinel. I think those players have value. Dorell Wright is probably our best trade bait and can get us the missing piece(s) we need to finalize our roster and is worth considering since he won't be able to contribute this season. But at the same time I remember Wright being mentioned in the Shaq trade and Riley wouldn't budge so we might end up keeping him. Damon Jones does a great job of running our offense, doesn't turn the ball over, and is one of the best 3 shooters in the NBA (if not the best). But I don't think we should trade him. Keyon Dooling is a good defender and has a great first step. But then again he is our back up PG. If we trade him we might have to move DJ back to the bench. Wesley Person is attractive to a team that needs outside shooting. Same with Rasual Butler. We'd be lucky to get something for Wang ZhiZhi. Michael Doleac can provide a team with a big man that can come off the bench and grab rebounds as well as a team that lacks a consistant shooter. Same with Laettner except Laettner plays better D and is a better shot blocker.
I would love it if the Heat landed Jason Williams....He's my favorite point guard. I know DJ has been great but I think JWILL can do it better....well.. except shooting 3s. I doubt this will happen tho...I wouldn't want EJ on my team if I were the man in Memphis.
In Shaq's book he listed white choclate as one of his favorite players, so that trade would be great. Especially since J-will has played on both a fastbreaking team and a reserved team. Actually DJ would still get to play, J-will is coming from a system where nobody plays much more than 30mpg. You could keep playing him that way, and rotate DJ in when Wade or J-will is resting.
He never said anything about J-Will, there were no actual quotes from Shaq so most likely it was just a rumor. Right now we're in need of a starting SF. Maybe a SG if we want to move DJ back to the bench (which I don't think we should, if it ain't broke you don't fix it right?) and move Wade back to PG. But most importantly we need a starting SF. Any SFs that might be on the market? I know of Wally Szczerbiak and SAR, they would be a good fit. Maybe EJ can be more consistant on the offensive end and he can thrive in the SF spot?
Nah I think EJ is too thin for SF. He could be switched over from time to time but not every night. I always liked S Battier from Memphis too. Damn Memphis has every good players..
the czar isn't too fond of j-will. He knows miami oh, too well too. He just quit the sunshine network.
I don't think Jason Williams is the piece missing from this team. J-Will is good player but frankly we don't need him. Damon Jones should hold the starting point position throughout the season. The Heat need a Starting Small Forward. Eddie Jones is simply not getting the job done. And if history holds true, EJ will further deteriorate in the playoffs! I don't think the Heat have the pieces/trade bait to get a great player but I'm not sure who's available. I would trade Eddie Jones for Jalen Rose anytime. Ace2k2 Just Curious, but what does that computer program say about the trade that got us Shaq?
Eddie Jones had a horrible series against the Pacers but he did pretty decent in the Hornets series. But I'm sure all Heat fans have bad memories and nightmares against the Pacers when EJ went for the layup and hit the backboard instead!
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A source with knowledge of the situation said Jalen Rose-for- Eddie Jones trade talk was never serious. The Raptors, though, did offer Vince Carter for Jones at one point, which the Heat respectfully declined. Now that he is tradable, Wesley Person has come up as a possible pick-up for the Nuggets, who are in need of a shooting guard.</div> From the Sun-Sentinel.
^ that article is totally bogus. No way did A) The raps offer Vince for Eddie The heat refuse A) or C) The Heat refuse Rose for Eddie. Rose plays SF, eddie does not They both make the same money, for the same contract lenth Rose is as good a shooter as eddie and although he has an attitude i'm sure shaq deisel would be able to keep him in line. He'd be a 3rd option, and i think he'd flourish like i did in Indiana. Still laughing about the raps offering and the heat refusing vince for eddie...hahhaa
^ This thread is about trade talks/rumors so if you're just gonna talk trash go to the EJ for VC thread. If you want to contribute to this thread with trade talks/rumors and/or a trade idea then you're more than welcomed to do so. But other than that don't degrade the quality of this thread.
