Mannn....did Pop tear into him. There were quite a few guys who thought that he should have stayed. He looked good last year and earlier this season. But something happened and he seems to have hit a wall. I mean he didn't say he should go out and die in the desert or anything like that.....but close enough . Question is this...even though he has been benched...would you take him over Kandi?
They both stink. I don't like both of them. I actually thought Olowokandi was an upgrade over Rasho. I think they are both the same. Rasho was so bad against the Lakers last season in the playoffs.
Rasho is better than kandi man. Comon, Mark madsen replaced kandi as starting Center. Rahso was awesome, he gave kobe a karate chop to his shoulder when kobe tried to dunk over him.
Well, Iam not a Rasho Nesterovic fan. But if the Wolves had him at the 5 last year instead of Kandiman, they would have been a much better team. He was a better fit for their system because he is a big body who plays the offesive side of the Pick & Roll very well. And teams Centers never had to work last year guarding the Wolves Centers on Defense. The Wolves played 5 on 4 basketball all year, last season. And it really caught up with them in the West finals against LA, cause even tho, Nestrovic cant guard Shaq to save his life, he could at least make shaq work from time to time on Defense. Shaq never had to play any D in the West Finals last year and they gave him even more energy on offense... As far as, Greg Pop chewing out Rasho, there is no doubt that Nestrovic play has declined rapidly from last season. And I think it partly has to do with the fact Tony Parker's play has decreased as well, Because Nestrovic really relies on the PG to create plays for him in that Pick &Roll style. But I think his chewing out probably well deserved. I think the timing is really odd tho..I truely wonder if the timing of Gre Pop chewing him out, may have something to do with the fact that Karl Malone official became available for the 1st time all season, since he said its no way he's going back to LA. Maybe that was kind of message to Karl saying "hey, we arent happy with what we have right now in our frontcourt, come here and play some minutes alongside TD and get yourself a ring". As a move to say maybe they have bigger minutes & roll to offer him then the Wolves or Heat. But I maybe stretching...to me the timing seems off...
That hurts for Rasho, look for the Spurs to push even harder to get Malone now. He was never a great player here in Minnesota; and he never will be a great player.
