Look, I understand Rudy. He wants players out there who can execute the plays, but there isn't a solid execution going on anyway. Let him play. Give him the same burn Kareem was getting (he can't play as bad as KR was playing). The Lakers are not running any plays. They are freestyling 75% of the time and bailing out in the last 6 seconds. I know Earl Watson "punked" him in that Memphis game and it shook him up, but he continued to play with "Kobe heart" (rookie Kobe) and shot the ball every time he touched it.

Bottom line: I understand that there is a learning curve for the dude, but there is one for Beno Udrih in San Antonio, in that 3 point guard rotation, but he is getting the minutes that are going to get him a slot in the Rookie Game. If Sasha is as competitive as he looked in the Summer League, he isn't gonna be kept off that team if he gets a chance to show his stuff.

All I'm saying is if you listen to "real deal, insane, the Lakers are consuming my life" Laker fans, they saw this kid in the Summer League and those are the ones who never agree to these faux trade ideas including Sasha.

In closing, put him on the floor, let him foul, shoot some threes, make some passes, etc. You'll see about the same production as Shaun Livingston, I guarantee it. Plus, he leads the team in free throw percentage...that's gotta count for something.

Good point, no doubt...but the way it was posted was against the JBB Guidelines. Just letting you know...

I do agree that Vujacic needs some time out on the court...and I've noticed that Rudy T has placed Bobbitt on the IR and pulls Vujacic back into the lineup. I think Bobbitt is more valuable for his defense, but while Vujacic is suited up, he needs a few minutes under Bryant AND Atkins/Tierre, to get him familiar with the style of play that the Lakers are attempting to run.

The only way Sasha ever receives playing time on the Lakers is if he actually goes into the weight room and puts on some muscle, and doesn't get beat off the dribble at the top of the key. His defense is atrocious. He can sit on that bench and learn some mechanics. He's a rookie, it's all a learning process from here on out.

I know man...Vujacic has loads of potential. They should give him some playing time. How can you sit him on the bench for that long with CHUCKY ATKINS and TIERRE BROWN ahead of him. Tierre wasn't even officially on the team a week before the regular season. I agree he still has a lot of learning to do but real game time is a great learning experience.

Okay, I said this earlier...but I'm going to add on a few things.

Vujacic's defense is terrible. His body is not conditioned for the NBA, and he will easily get beat to the basket everytime by a Steve Francis or an Allen Iverson. For quick guards like those, we need a player that can use their body to play close, tight defense and draw offensive fouls (much like Fisher did in the past). Sasha couldn't do that...he'd break in half out there.

Also, Vujacic wasn't much of a passer in training camp or the preseason. His passes are weak and off-target, and that's the OTHER thing we need out of a point guard.

So, for the two things we need at the point (defense and passing), Vujacic gives us neither. Maybe while he's suited up, he can backup Kobe...but we need Bobbitt to come off the IR right now, no matter what.
