I don't think I have ever seen Ray shoot the ball so badly, 6-23 from the field and 0-10 from three-point land? horrible. I'm not going to say he cost Seattle the game but It was a big factor. Overall the Sonics backcourt just stunk It up. There will be games when the Sonics shoot the ball badly but I like the fact they stayed in the game in the last 3 minutes, a year ago It likely would of been a blowout. The final scoreline flatted the Celtics a little bit, the game was far closer than the score suggests. For some reason though, the Celtics have the Sonics number.

Maybe Ray was saving his best for Kobe on tuesday? [IMG]

Shiekybabe, we all want to see Flip get into the rotation. But I, for one, am tired of you taking every single opportunity to complain about him not getting his due. It was one game, and you all but said Nate should get the death penalty for not giving Flip a couple minutes (which is all he would have gotten). The organization has said all along they're not going to rush into having Flip or Potapenko return to the court, because the Sonics are winning. Like it or not, Flip hasn't been a part of that and until he proves he can help the Sonics win, he's not going to play a lot of minutes.

He may have "broken out" last season, but we didn't win last season. We're winning now. I'm all for Flip working his way back into the rotation, but he has not earned anything this season except for the opportunity to do so.

Well said. Hopefully he'll get that opportunity tonight. I'm just upset that loyal Sonics fans (as well as the Sonics organization) automatically assume that Flip will disrupt the team chemistry. He has never shown himself to be an anti-team guy. He's maintained a professional approach despite getting the short end of the stick. It seems to me that he should be rewarded for that, not punished.

Tyrone Willingham's firing is a comparison that I might use. Despite handling himself w/ class and dignity, he was not even given the opportunity to finish out his contract (first time in Notre Dame history). I'm glad that Flip continues to maintain his composure and not get sucked into doing something stupid, but it seems like today that athletes who act up get rewarded far more than those who don't buck the system.
