I've never had a extremely bad injury ever in my life. I've always had trouble with my right ankle because it's been sprained so much but i've never been out of commision for more than a week. Well the other day my right ankle attacked with a vengance that hurt so f*ckin bad it has me out of commision for atleast 2 months. Playing basketball for the first time in about 6 months i decide not to wear my ankle brace nor hightops. Boy am i the f*cking retard. Coming down off a rebound i landed on my friends shoe and my ankle rolled like a tootsie roll. That b*tch went from a normal ankle to a f*cking hot air balloon in a matter of seconds. I went to the doctor and he said i tore a ligament and fractured my ankle, so now i have to get surgery done if i ever want to play basketball again. I'm 22 years old and this sh*t sucks. I can't imagine what some of these athletes go through for the love of the game. Example Steve McNair, he's been injured more than 50 times in his career and he's out there almost every Sunday busting his ass trying to win. I have no point for this thread except that i have much more respect for professional athletes when it comes to injuries. My injury is nothing compared to what MaGahee or TO went through and they're still out there playing the game. MUCH RESPECT!!!!!!!!!

    p.s. i hate crutches

I guess when you make playing a professional sport your career and its how you make your money then you have to keep going at it no matter what. You have to have some amazing passion for playing the game to keep going at it as well. I admire athletes for going through some of the shit they go through, its incredible the injuries they will play through sometimes just for the love of the game. Much respect is right.

Sorry to hear about your injury too man.

yeah Injuries suck...one of the craziest SOB's ever was Brett Hull...he played the entire playoffs with the Stars when they won the cup with both his groins torn....now thats heart. And if my memory serves correct he had a game winner in one game of the Stanley Cup finals.

I feel your pain man I have had two Meniscus tears in my right knee...broke my right femur....and had an impingement in my right rotator cuff for the last two years though it is now pretty much fully healed. rehab sucks...though I found a nice place with some dope chicks...no bull dikes...that give great ice massages after they beat you up...so its not all bad :-)

Anybody remember Napolean Kaufman's leg snapping back on MNF over a decade or so ago? It literally bent 90 degrees backwards. Grossest thing I've seen even to this day! [IMG]

I still remember Theismann's injury... And Tim Krumrie's leg injury against the 49'ers in the Superbowl. Ugly...

I think I remember the injury on MNF, bakes, but was that Kaufman?

I'm pretty sure it was Pack.

He was the RB for the LA Raiders at the time.

You don't need to find the story...its just BF1's way of holding a grudge....like his current grudge with Strahan & Favre...

This grudge is much more personal. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Also, it is not refutable.

Everytime you tell that story, the hit comes a little later after the play and the Bears miss out on an extra Super Bowl or two....the 1st time I heard you tell it, it was 2 seconds after the play and cost the Bears just that Super Bowl....
