<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Damon Jones is among the leaders in three-pointers made (64), attempted (138) and three-point percentage (.464), so it's no wonder his shots make Stan Van Gundy smile. ''When Damon shoots the ball, I'm happy,'' the Heat coach said. He is willing to talk about his possible entry in the three-point shooting contest during this season's All-Star weekend. If Jones keeps up this pace, it's likely he'll be invited to the event. Would he accept? ''Would I?'' Jones said. 'I wouldn't even think twice. They wouldn't even have to get the whole sentence out of their mouth. `Damon, we want you to . . . ' I'm there.'' The contest could be especially lucrative for Jones; teammate Shaquille O'Neal has offered to pay Jones $50,000 of his own money if Jones wins. Jones, though, said he wouldn't put up his trademark ''three'' signal after every shot he made in the contest. That would be far too tiring, not to mention time-consuming. ''I wouldn't do that, I would just wait until the end, and I would have a special dance,'' Jones said. A dance similar to one Brent Barry did a couple years ago? ''No, way better than that,'' Jones said. ``He has no flair.''</div> The way he's been shooting the 3 I wouldn't be suprised if he gets invited and wins it!
Nice It'd be my first time I ever root someone in 3 shooting contest. also my first time I actually watch it heh
Apparently Shaq is for real, he did offer DJ $50,000 if he brings back the 3PT Shooting Title <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I put it out there," O'Neal said. "I'm not going to settle for anything but the best. If you look and I come back with a lot of big presents you know why."</div>
Well, with Voshon out, he has a chance...but good luck beating Peja. That's all Stojakovic does is shoot threes.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting WadeDynasty:</div><div class="quote_post">Darn Good point. I forgot about Peja. Think DJ has chance against Peja?</div> Peja has been doin bad from the 3 lines this season, if he was doing good we'd hear about it. But yeah that could be his competition, him and Ray Allen, Kyle Korver(?), Brent Barry(?), and some others.
I doubt he'd win. At least this year. what's up with Rasual less that .300. Only way DJ can wins if he practices, a lot. Peja, Ray allen, Korver, barry all have experience and Are shooting the ball well. I have no doubt in my mind, that DJ will be invited. As wade might be invited to the dunk contest. I wouldn't go if i were him. Unless he's confident he can win and pull the stuff off. J-Rich to me had the best stuff, incredible stuff but he couldn't finish it in the Dunking contest.
Coming into this season, I thought the only member of the Heat with a good chance to do well in the 3-point contest was Rasual, i'm glad I was wrong .

Also, J-Rich won't be in the dunk contest this year.
If it was the mid-range jump shot contest, Matt Bonner would win it! I think DJ has a shot, but if Ray Ray is there, my money is always on him.
i will be cheering dj on. and plus this is the type of stuff that makes me cherish shaq. i would love to be on the same team as shaq, though i bet its alot harder than what the heat players make it look like. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> shaq on his 50,000 dollar wager I put it out there," O'Neal said. 3 POINT SHOOTOUT! Ray Allen Peja Stojakovic Kyle Korver Damon Jones I forget how maany people can join in on it. If its 5 then add Brent Barry to that list. Ray Allen is going to come home with the goods imo.

Only reason he won was because J-Rich's attpempts was futuristic. And were only possible by him on his gym.
