Brent Barry was playing well in the very early stages of the season. I would not label him a bust, I think the play of Devin Brown and Barry's shortcomings on defense have made him a splinter picker for the Spurs. I doubt the Spurs trade Barry, because not many teams are willing to help them get better, and Barry gives them insurance in case Parker or Gino gets injured. Barry will also be valuable in the playoffs with his ability to pass, shoot, and move without the ball.

It's too early to label him a bust. It's all well and good in these stages of the season, but when the business end of the campaign and the playoffs come around, you'll be thankful for a cool vet like Bones around. He's too good a player to stay down for long, and he'll come through.

In the meantime, it's giving Devin Brown a chance to get experience.
