Many people called me an idiot and other things before the season when I predicted that the Phoenix Suns would win the NBA Championship(forget my sig thats what I hope not what will happen)and now in early December it has been proven that I'm not a complete Idiot the Suns are 16-3 Nash is getting 11 assists and 16 ppg and Amare is getting about 25 and Maring 18 and 9 per game and all of them are mvp caliber players.Sure they may not play defense as well (mostly Nash and JJ and QRichs fault)but when your getting 108ppg you really don't have to worry about that...and as I said in the beginning of the year I'll say again PHOENIX SUNS NBA CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!
In the beginning of the year i made a topic saying how the Phoenix Suns would win the Nba championship and everyone disagreed with me now that they're winning everyone seems to like them which is why i made this topic.if they didn't delete it go back to the really old topics and check.
It's only 20 games into the season. Let's wait until the season is at least halfway through before talking about who's going into the playoffs with the #1 seed.
Exactly. The season is still young, they've only played so many games. We all know they're off to a really strong start, the NBA championship is still anyones.
Why is this guy gloating about his prediction? The Sun's haven't won a championship and there are 60 games left in the schedule. Get a grip dude.

Yeah there is a long season ahead but I also believe Suns will win it this year. Thought the same since the Nash signing happened.
It's way too early to say who will win. For one, coming first in the regular season doesn't mean you'll win the NBA Championship. Secondly, if you think 108ppg with no defense can win you a championship, then I refer you to Mark Cuban's last 3 years.
The Spurs will definetly beat the Suns if they play some play off wise. THe Spurs and the Sonics look like a better team than the Suns as of now from what I see. You can also make an argument for the Wolves and the Heat if you want, and the Kings. Anoy of those teams IMO have a beter shot at making a championship than the Suns IMO. Also you can brag when the Suns actualy win the championship, but only in a quarter of the season I really don't want to hear any of your bull.
I don't know where everyone's getting this "No Defense" thing from. The Suns are 5th in the league in defense (by opponent's FG%). They're shooting 47.7% compared to their opponents 42.5%. They're 20th in points given up, but that's because of the fast pace they play at. And their point differential is amazing - +11. Just remember that the Pistons were #1 in the NBA in point differential last year. In fact, the breakdown since the end of the Jordan era: 1998-99 - Spurs, #1 in NBA. 1999-00 - Lakers #1 in NBA. 2000-01 - Lakers #1 in NBA. 2001-02 - Lakers #2 in NBA (Kings were #1 and almost took them down). 2002-03 - Spurs #3 in NBA. 2003-04 - Pistons #1 in NBA. If that doesn't tell you something, then nothing will. The breakdown so far this season: 1. Phoenix, +11.4 2. San Antonio, +10.9 3. Seattle, +5.95 4. LAC, +4.31 5. Minnesota, +4.3
The only tihng that tells is us according to you that clippers have a better chance of winning the championship then the Wolves. And i dont beleive in that so well see when the seasons over.
What it tells you is that the Clippers (11-8) aren't that far behind the Wolves (13-7) at this point in the season. It also tells you the Clippers are probably better than advertised. It also tells you that the Clippers have played 9 games against the East and are 7-2 in them - and the T'Wolves have played 7, and are 3-4. If you notice, the Wolves were .01 points behind the Clippers - obviously, that gap will close within one game, and as the Wolves begin to play more of the East (especially the easier teams), they'll move up that chart. But the thing to notice is also that the T'Wolves are 10-3 against the West - and since a champion will almost certainly come out of there, that gives them a good standing. Obviously point differential is not the be all and end all - there's a reason we play the games. But it ain't a bad predictor if you look at it.
Bah, far from it. But hopefully I can help to bring some rationallity to the board - because you can't just make claims like "the Suns don't play defense" without the facts to back it up. And if the facts say you're dead wrong, you've got to be dumb or in denial to still believe the other side. The point differential thing is another issue, but the fact is, the Suns are a top defensive team this year.
Like said, it is way to early. And anyway, if you were going by pace right now the Sonics would win the West. So, you're wrong anyway. But the NBA season is a marathon, not a sprint. Right now, teams like the Suns and Sonics are sprinting. They will cool off at about the All-Star break I assume, then they will be about a five or six seed. The Timberwolves and Spurs own the West, and most people know that.
They remind me alot of the Mavericks the past four years. They'll when alot of games during the regular season but that's about it. 1st round knock out.
FFSBasketball is right...the Suns are at the top of the pack both offensively and defensively. But...another thing that many others are overlooking is the fact that the Suns have little playoff experience. Right now, I think what's hurting alot of teams when they play the Suns is the fact that this team can beat you with their inside dominance (Amare) or their outside shooting...as well as their ball distribution and their tough defense (excluding Q-Rich). Too many different variables...but we'll see how it all pans out in the playoffs.
