What's with Caron Butler? Somehow the Lakers won both games but now we play Seatle and Sac, what's wrong with Caron? He has noticeable skills how can he go two games with only two points. [IMG]

He's in a slump. It happens. They just need him to keep working out of his slump. Damon Stoudamire was/is going through the same thing.

Well is it his shooting %s or his FGAs? The only one that's gonna be getting consistant numbers is Kobe everyone else has up and downs, ex: Odom can go a game with 6 FGAs or 12 or 18.

Butler is just out of his game right now which is not surprising for young players because hey, if he put up a consistent 20/5/4 he would be the teams 2nd scoring option, we all know he is capable of that on a good night and everynight, he just needs to learn consisntency which is gained through playing more and more, the more time he spends on the court playing with Kobe and such he will just get better and more consistent.

I see where you're taking this, and you're wrong. There's no need to blame Kobe Bryant for Caron's poor performances.

Sure, Caron can drop 25 one night and then go two games with only a combined total of two points...but his defense is pathetic lately. He's getting beat to the basket and he's having to foul way too much because of it. That has nothing to do with Kobe.

Caron Butler is strickly a role player and nothing more. People seem to be forgetting that and must realise he won't be good for anymore than 10-14 points a game.

Yeah, and I actually liked Caron for two things: his defense (which has been disappointing so far) and his rebounding abilities. Other than that, I never expected him to score more than, say, Odom.

From what i've seen of Caron..He seems to be have had high expectations from all the hype he has been receiving, and he's not living up to the hype he has been labeled as.

In Miami,Caron excelled on the court. Now that he's been in a Laker uniform..he's had inconsistent performances..but like the undertaker has stated..he's probably in a slump at this point.

Lets just say at this point Caron is just having a little bit of diffuculty at the moment, but he's not a bad player at all.he's simply in a funk.i'm sure he will be fine in the long run.
