Ive just read that at least 3 Carolina Panthers were issued prescriptions for steroids. Those prescriptions were for a steroid cream that is illegal in the NFL and were issed to Todd Sauerbraun(the freakin punter? Talk about your wasting of company resources...), Jeff Mitchell and Todd Stuessie....Mitchell filled his 7 times, Stuessie 11 times....Sauerbrun also got syringes and an injectable steroid....HOLY CRAP....none of the players has tested positive but this pretty damning evidence....and all 3 filled thier presciptions within 2 weeks of the Super Bowl....

I dont exactly know what this means....its doenst mean with any certainty that they took it, they could of sold it or got it for someone else, but it does casts a very suspicious eye on things at a time in which the NFL doesnt need a steroid scandal....I will say this though, the NFLs policy hasnt changed in the past 2 years, so if they did have a steroid problem then, they sure as hell have one now....

i think it would have been a bigger deal if they had won that superbowl. i hope this doesn't start a big thing in the nfl like it has done with baseball.

I don't think it will be as big. Common perception is that no drug testing will be perfect. That said, the NFL has more credibility that it really wants to make a positive impact on drug use. MLB does not have that, which is why they will be more under fire.

Ricky Williams said that it's easy to beat the NFL's drug testing. I doubt they supervise you filling the urine sample, so you can just switch it with someone else's urine who's clean. I'm sure that's why none of those guys tested positive...

I think Ricky was talking about a masking agent that comes in the form of a liquid flush....it will supposedly take the dope out of your system quickly so you can pee clean....from what I know of the NFL's testing procedure, a representitive from the league does show up at random and ask you to pee in a cup right in front of him....I dont think you have time to set up dummy urine....the way to get around the current test though is to take a designer steroid that the NFL cant detect yet, one made exactly with that porpose in mind....in this case, the Dr's assistant is claiming she filled the prescriptions with HGH(Human Growth Hormone). Currently, HGH can not be detected by urine tests with any consistency, so if they took it, even though it is banned by the policy, they would not have tested positively....
