They have three losses and there are more deserving teams of the top 25.

They have 3 losses, including a 31 point butt whooping from Georgia Tech. And beyond that, the only win that's worth a damn that they have was against Notre Dame.

It's like he said, there are more deserving teams this week. Teams that weren't in there last week, such as BC and George Washington, are both more deserving than them.

Yeh they only have one good win for a reason there best player other than Bernard Robinson Jr., Lester Abram was injured and they still beat Notre Dame. Im not saying this is a bad poll just that they should get at least receiving votes.

I'm not sure if you realize this...but Bernard Robinson Jr. was drafted by Charlotte and is no longer on the team. So, why you brought him up kind of confuses me.

Yeah, Robinson isn't even on the team no longer. And like Moo is saying, there are a few more team that deserve it more than Michigan...

The rankings look just about right, and I am glad to see Boston College getting some props...

I don't know how Alabama is ranked 24th. We've had a tough schedule and up to now, we're 8-1. There's no way George Washinton and Gonzaga should be ahead of the Crimson Tide.

Well, GW has beaten two top 25 teams in Maryland and Michigan State, and Gonzaga has beaten Washington(a team that beat you all). And you say that you all have had a tough schedule; From what I'm looking at, it doesn't look like it's been too tough...

You all should stay in the top 25 most of the year in my opinion...

We'll see how tough Alabama's schedule is once the first RPI rankings come out.

Well, let's just look at Alabama's schedule -

    Western Carolina - Easy game
    North Texas - Easy game
    Alaska Anchorage - Easy game
Minnesota - Easy game, and Alabama still struggled the whole game (2 pt game with 54 seconds left)
Washington - Hard game, and Alabama lost
East Tennesse St. - Easy game
Charlotte - Midlevel game. Charlotte is a good team, but not exactly a great team. If you honestly feel Alabama is better than #24 in the nation then howcome it took them triple overtime to beat Charlotte by one point?
    Alabama State - Easy game
Temple - Easy to midlevel game, and Alabama barely escaped with a win.

That schedule is not exactly impressive to me. Infact, they've lost against the only ranked team they've played. Not only that, but the only other halfway respectable teams that they played almost beat them. Meanwhile, George Washington has played Wake Forest, Michigan State (win), and Maryland (win). How could you possibly defend Alabama's schedule?

ETSU is a better team than what people think, Temple has played everybody good(see Wake, and we dominated that game, look at the statline), Charlotte is an excellent home team(should of been televised) and that's about all I can think of right now.

Your excuses are understandable for a 35-50 ranked team, but you're trying to argue that they're a top 20 team. Anyway, why should our future schedule matter? The point is that up to this point Alabama has only had one real challenge and lost. They had a few minor challenges along the way and really struggled with those as well. They haven't had one really big convincing win over a top 25 team or even a blowout against a midlevel team. Why should you put them over George Washington?

It seems that most of America has them as a top twenty team and some have them as a top 15 team. Don't worry, Alabama has proven people wrong in the past, we'll just do it again.

When has Alabama proven people wrong in the past? They have no national championships and have been to no Final Fours, even when they had players like Antonio McDyess, Latrell Sprewell, Gerald Wallace, and Rod Grizzard.

Anyway, this poll is really unique compared to any poll in America right now, and I frankly think it is more rational. In the ESPN/AP polls, you'll see things like Mississippi State being ranked over Michigan State, Iowa being outside of the top 20, North Carolina being #5 in the nation, and Marquette not even being ranked. This is about as accurate as they come in my opinion. Besides, no one I know considers Alabama a top 15 team. A top 20 team is a stretch for Alabama as well. I think that if they even should be considered for a ranking, it should be anywhere from #21-25.

Our Elite Eight apperance last year was no fluke, we did it with a very young team. In fact, I'm so confident in the Tide, I predict an National Championship this season. BTW, Rod Grizzard doesn't derserve to be mentioned with greats like Sprewell and McDyess.

A National Championship? That's being too confident.
