Did I make a mistake in this trade?

No, I think that was a good deal. Dirk is playing arguably the best basketball in the entire league right now. I think that this was a good deal from a fantasy standpoint. Dirk solidy gets you GOOD stats in every single catagory.

I think it was a good trade.

 

Whoever got Dirk got a much better deal. His fg% alone makes him more valuable than Kobe fantasy-wise.

 

Dirk gives you great scoring, fg%, rebounding, and still is an MVP doing his thing this year. If you got Nowitzki it was a great trade for you.

 

Overall....pretty good trade. I think whoever got Kobe got the better part of the deal though. He racks up stats in almost every cat for you. He's getting his pts, steals, assts, boards, blocks, everything. The only thing that is hampering him down this year is his FG%, but that can always get better. In my opinion, Kobe is the overall better part of this deal.

 

You definetly got an upgrade if Dirk continues to play like he's playing. Kobe will get you more dimes though.

 

Yeah good deal. Dirk is almost unstoppable, but Kobe can rack up in any category.

 

Don't be suprised, Dirk can hit up any category that Kobe can minus APGs.

Two things that Dirk does better is FG% and TOs (Kobe leads the NBA or is #2 in TOs, I bet nobody knows that ).

Trust me on this, you can compare them cat for cat, you got the upgrade here (except for APG which can be addressed through a PG)

Absolutely.

The first rule in trading is to make sure you're getting what you believe is the best player back. Harrington and Gasol are patchy, but good players, but Kobe is a superstar. That's highway robbery for you, especially if you can get a decent FA pick-up (someone like Damon Jones, Austin Croshere, James Poset etc).

I agree Highway Robbery. Get it while its there!

 

I agree about Damon Jones. I have him on my team and I'm tops on threes made. Well of course I also have Shard and Redd.

I'd choose Dirk over Kobe anytime without even flinching. You'll get a C (which is hard to come by in leagues), someone who rebounds, shoot threes consistently and above decent FG wise.
