Here lately, I think it has become clear that there are alot of unnecessary comments/posts being made in the Laker forums...both positive and negative. This is not only attracting attention from other members, but also from other moderators/admins, and it's not always positive attention. http://www.justbball.com/forums/faq.php?faq=guidelines After doing some extensive searching, I've provided examples of great posts that express both positives and negatives dealing with the Lakers, Kobe, Odom, etc. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I would add the coaching to the list. I have a problem with the rotations Rudy T and he does not take advantage of mismatches. Until another player can step up consistently, the Lakers need a combination of Odom, Butler, and Kobe on the court at the same time. Even with large leads, whenever the Lakers have only one of the main three guys on the court, the team collapses. I'm also worried about the amount of minutes he's allowing Kobe to log. Sure the Lakers do not have a solid PG like Brandon pointed out, but Rudy T needs to take advantage of Odom handling the ball a little more when Kobe goes to the bench.</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ok your record isn't that bad. You guys have been strugglin a bit on beating top Pacific Conference teams, but i do see a lot of good qualities on the team, such as getting great offensive scoring drives, over the top performances from Kobe, and there are a lot of young guys on this team this year, so the team is still trying to gel together as a team. It takes time.</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Now I am trying to look at this from a solid stand point without being bias to either side, because both side shave good points. You really can not compare KG and Kobe, and call KG a selfish player, because of his field goal percentage, and the total shot she has taken compared to Kobes. Then again you can not say Kobe is so much just selfishness because he is trying to get his team the win most of the time. True he is selfish at times and shoots when he should pass and passes when he should shoot, but without great players around you there is not much you can really do. He is trying to be a leader for his team this is his first season by himself in LA and he is going through growing pains in finding out what he should and shouldnt do it is to early to label him.</div> There's a negative post, a positive one, and one with both. Good posts, IMO. This is what JBB needs more of. These posters know who they are, so I'm not going to give them recognition because I believe they aren't on this site to win any kind of award or recognition...they are here to discuss basketball maturely, and that's all I ask. I'll welcome any criticizm, negative posts, positive ones, or biased opinions...as long as the posts contain no personal attacks or unnecessary comments. Please, Laker and non-Laker fans, read this over and look at it from my point of view. It's tough to be a team leader for this forum, having to cut pieces out of a member's post because it contains things not related to the discussion...therefore, it makes me seem biased. I'm doing what I can to keep all threads open and keep them active. As long as there are intelligent posts, I think I speak for everyone when I say that everything should be easier to discuss without flaming, baiting, heated debates, etc. Again, anyone and everyone is welcome to post their opinions in the Lakers forum. All I ask is to please avoid violating the guidelines, and it would be appreciated if any negatives could be followed by suggestions on how to eliminate the problems. Thank you. -Brandon
In my Post's on the Lakers forum here,I've never said anything negative about the team.I've said a lot of positive things regarding the Lakers.I know there are quite a lot of posters here at JBB who always like saying negative things and turning them into personal attacks, but the whole point of this board is to talk about Basketball in a adult-mature matter. I For one think more of us who have intentions of saying something awful and negative should look at this old saying: "If you have nothing nice to say...Don't say it at all". I Think everyone here should at least think about that before they say anything at all here.
