    Schedule

Spurs had the same problems the Pistons are currently having, injures. Tim Duncan missed 5 games during that time, while Ben Wallace has missed 6 games, Larry Brown 6 games, Mcdyess 3 games, Rasheed and Billups have also missed a game each. The point is, championships aren't won in december.

no need to worry. let the Pistons play a stretch at full strength to determine how they will fair. i'm reserving any judgement until around all star break.

but, it does suck watching them lose [IMG]

Spurs got eliminated in the second round in 03-04 so its not that hope giving.

The bench needs work, hopefully this Williams trade works out good. Hopefully everyone can stay healthy when they return. Hopefully Dupree and Darko can step it up. Hopefully the starters find some consistency.

Yeah it is still early, but reality is starting to set in on our bench, until the trade deadline we are only auditioning these guys.

I believe the team will start playing better. Maybe this trade will be the catalyst for a winning streak, if not I wouldn't expect Dumars to sit Idle for too much longer. Especially now that the date for trading recently signed players is here.

Actually Corliss Williamson did real good in the Finals. A lot of analysts question that move when the Pistons say they were improving their bench.

AllNet why did he get traded?

Overall Corliss was terrible in the playoffs and hurt the Pistons most of the time when he decided to back guys in only to lose the ball.

He was traded mainly because of cap space, he still has 17 million left on his 3 year deal. While Coleman's contract is up at the end of the season.

However at the time of the trade I stated that Corliss was on the way down and would not be missed but I failed to factor in his leadership skills, Pistons really miss him in that aspect. With all the injury problems in Detroit right now the Pistons really could use his scoring off the bench. Although he himself is also injured right now.

He's from Estonia. But either way, whatever language you say that in, it's still idiotic. [IMG]

I still have total faith in our team, we are just in a lil slump right now.

There is still a whole lot of season left for them.

Well to answer the question about why Corliss was traded, his contract wouldn't have been a problem if Tayshaun and Ben weren't on our to do list. See, Corliss's contract took up so much space that Dumars needed to trade him so he can resign Tayshaun and Ben. Plus I think Tayshaun is the future of our team, but I won't get into that. But as far as the Pistons go, I have never lost faith and I won't. Not only, do all championship teams start off slow, after their championship, but I know the Pistons are notoriously streaky and always start off slow, and when you add in the fact that the mindset of the Pistons and the mindset of other teams, because of the championship, makes things tougher on you, the fact that we have a whole new look to our bench, the schedule hasn't been nice to us, and the fact that guys have been in and out of the lineup due to injuries...How can you worry? This would be tough for any1 to overcome. Plus the game against the Cavs, Tayshaun was limited to just 26 minutes, because he was injured(bad back)! So we even have guys playing through pain! And you look at the fact that we're not even playing 48 minutes of basketball, and still are able to come back to give ourselves a chance to win the game, and sometimes even win the game through all this adversity, says alot about the Pistons. All of this adversity will calm down, our schedule gets nicer to us, we're going to start playing a full game of b-ball on a consistent basis, and we're just too good (especially definsively) to keep this up, we look pretty convincing don't we? Look, it took the Pistons a while to realize why they played so poorly, and now it's going to take the Pistons time to adjust. We'll be cool, again I haven't lost faith and I won't lose faith.
